I landed May 21, 2015 and when ever I called CIC, all they say is your card is sent to printing. It is more than 100 days since I landed and No card yet. I am QSW applicant and I gave the address of my lawyer. What do you guys think is the problem? I asked them what the problem is and all they say is, if there is a problem you will be contacted.

The processing time for new PR cards is now 77 calendar days: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp. This is longer than the 79 days since I landed.

When I called CIC, the response I got from the agent was my card has not been mailed out, and that 4 additional weeks need to be added before the agent can "flag" a delay in processing. Utter nonsense.

Anyone else in a similar boat with any update?

Well u landed on 15th june. So looking at other applicants and current time, u should receive around 14th sept? 77 days+ 14 days for shipping.

If this is the case (I was hoping it wouldn't be, but knew in my heart it is)...then I need to rebook my flight and drive back to Canada from the US...sigh...

i landed on 9th june 2015 and still waiting for PR card and checked with CIC they are saying in production and would receive by 7th sept. I need to travel internationally and how this date is authentic. Can i rely on them

You better wait for PR card and then finalize your plan. But if its really really important to fly then you can take this risk.
Its a TRADE-OFF.

Moral of the story: immigration/cic screws us till the end, in money, time, frustration, stress, health.

Just got the confirmation from my friend, PR cards received on August 28 for me n my wife. They were Mailed on August 24. Seems those were printed on August 22 as Card expiry will be on 22 Aug, 2020.

we landed on May 26.

Hope all of you might get your cards soon.
CONGRATULATIONS RIZWAN WISH YOU BEST DAYS AHEAD IN CANADA.
I wanted to ask is does the 5 year validity of PR is on the basis of date of arrival or date of expiry on PR card, also do they frisk or enquire us on return to canada about how we got our PR cards since we were outside canada before arrival of PR cards??

I think what ever date mentioned on PR card will be the base date for PR as per my thinking. Someone else may clarify. I also have a doubt since in ECAS it says you land on May 26 and became Permanent Resident.

For second part, i am not that much concerned since they won't ask this i believe if asked will say that we got it through courier thats it.

I would appreciate if someone else can through some light on these two things asked by Rastafarian...
