Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi Guys,

I received my card today. Apparently card was printed on 20th August, 2015. I landed on 23rd May 2015.

Best of luck to all who are waiting for their card, hopefully you guys will get your card soon.

just called cic. The agent cooked up a story on the fly . I said I have landed on may 24th and then he miscalculated the duration and told me to wait till october 2nd and when I said the processing time is 80 days, he said sorry and asked me to wait for another two weeks.
I told him, last week one of the agent asked me to give a call today because 80+14 days will complete so they can check the status and the he goes like we received an update from card processing center that 14 days mail time has been increased to 1 month. I hate these guys more than anything in the world

Why am I not surprised by CIC...

They told my wife that there is a problem with her photo...but she doesn't need to send a new photo...she just has to wait until end of September.

I think they are just making up stories.

I would be happy if she does get the card by end of September...which would mean over 4 months waiting for a card.

Landed on 25th May.
Today received PR card for my wife and kids, date printed 22 Aug. But my PR card not received. Anyone who has the same scenario? and how soon i can expect mine now?

Hi. I have been a silent reader.
Landed on 17th May in Toronto.
PR Cards delivered on 26th August in Regina. Came together for all family members.

So I called CIC and the agent pulled another answer from thin air. Sir the current processing time is 80 Days and since your are May 25th, we add 4 weeks to that so it should be mid September.

CIC agents are behaving in a random manner and always giving confusing information.

So I called CIC again hoping to get an agent actually willing to help. She immediately opened up my file after I gave her my landing date. Informed me that the card was mailed out on 24th of August.

That's good to know. I am kind of still waiting. Last time I called they said I will receive by 28 August. So I will call tomorrow again and check out.

Pro Tips :


When you call CIC if you want them to open your case just say that you are leaving the country the XX and you want to know of you will have your card by then.

Worked for me.

Worked for me.

Another suggestion is to call from different numbers. From my experience they are keeping track of conversations based on mobile number so they can cut you off without opening the file
