Landed April 18. Still waiting for the PR card. Called the CIC call centre numerous times and sent case specific enquiry.

They call centre lady sent an email to the local processing office to get a status update. Will call again today and hopefully have some news.

I received my PR card but my wife hasn't still. We were landed on 7th May and I received my PR card on 15th August.
Are everyone having the same problem like this or this is a rare.
Is it good to wait and see for a week or need to contact the CIC regarding this problem?
Thank you everyone.. Cheers

Hi, did you get the dispatch information from CIC call centre? I landed on May 8th, but they said my card was sent to production on July 31st...but no information about dispatch....

Called CIC, they will provide you with the "Sent for printing" and "dispatch" information..... Perhaps we have got a good operator...... Heard some of them are not helpful at all....

i landed on May 8th and they just dispatched my card on Aug 17th...

i landed on May 6 and called CIC to inquire about the card.
They told me that it has been dispatched on August 11 - but i still have not received it
It takes 2 weeks for the mail to come to your mailbox - i think CIC has sent my mail through snailmail

I landed on 16th may and i called them. They said i must get my card by August 31st. They refused to say any more details like did my card went to production, dispatched etc. They even refused to touch my file and said that they cant touch my file until august 31st. I am wondering how come they said these details for you. Did you ask for anything specific..

Dear,

Please tell me whether you are in canada right now?

On which number you are calling to get the info and what option numbers you are then following to get to the call centre agent? and preferred time to call to get the info, or what time of day you called them?

When you get connected to the agent, what we have to say to them to reveal us this information as most of the times i have read here that they don't even bother to open the file if the minimum processing time has not gone passed, how did you manage this things, please share what to say the agent?

I landed on May 26 and currently i am outside canada.

U have to call at 18882422100. of course when you are going to say i landed on 26th May, they are not going to entertain you. But you have to pull the information from them by asking general question instead case specific. Like if you landed in 3rd week how soon you can get your card. Or what factors can make you card delay. You know stuff like that..

Hope it solves your issue.

We just called the CIC. We landed on May 17th. They informed us that our cards were sent to production on the 13th of August. Can anyone tell us how long does it usually take in production? We heard up to 2 weeks. Please let us know.

i would spare at least 2 weeks for production and 2 weeks for delivery

I landed on June 13, so it has been 68 days now. Now, the PR card processing time for new PRs is 80 days on the CIC website. Does this mean that I still have to wait until 6/13 + 80 days (Sep 2 or 3)?? Because when I landed, I remember that it was 67 days to process a new PR card on that date.

Hello cupcakes! we meet again on a different train but on the same journey still..all thanks to cic's efficiency.
I landed on 19/6 and waiting. When I landed I was told 8 weeks. website showed 67. Then it went to 87. then down to 84, then up last week to 90. And now 80 days. I don't know which would be applicable because my 8 weeks are over. Again for inland applicants, I can't imagine why it takes 80+ for printing a card. I have vacation planned in oct beginning n worried sick.

Sigh...just wish we meet in better circumstances...I've no idea why on earth it takes these guys *this* long to print a goddamn card! Couldn't this have been done at point of landing? I think they secretly enjoy pushing us to our limits...just when you think the journey is over, you realize you still have a long way to go! I have a vacation planned in september myself...and I thought that was far away enough...but now it looks like I have taken on a huge risk.
