Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi guys! PR card received today! Landed April 14 . Just be patient and your card will come. I did not follow up... I just expected this week based from the timeline of other applicants. Happy waiting! ;D

Just called CIC today and was been told my card is just approved and not posted. I think the card is not even printed out. And I landed on April 11th. Really have no idea what's going on there. :'(

So, guess what guys, I just returned from my mailbox. And the Health Card was waiting for me there.

Now, the Government of Ontario requires 3 months of residence in the province prior to been accepted to OHIP, so I took my COPR to the Service Ontario office and filed the application on Apr. 22 (the day I landed). However, the effective date when I became a resident was Apr. 14 (the date on my visa and COPR). Today is Jul. 10, and they already delivered the card although it is valid from Jul. 14. That's what I call effective government service provision. You hear that, Sydney PR Card Processing Center?

Congrats. I also got Provincial Health cards today (a day after PR cards).

I do have the same issue as well, CIC confirmed my new address and ECAS still shows the old address. My cards did not arrive to either unfortunately.

I've called CIC and the agent assured me that the address on file is my new address and to ignore ECAS. We'll see! You should call CIC to verify too.

Apply for GCMS notes. They will contain the address the CIC uses for mailing the applicant.

Good idea but a bit too late at this point since GCMS notes takes 1 month to be delivered.

Then I think you need to ask them to change it in ECAS because I got mine at old address, as per ECAS.

CIC agent told me they can't change ECAS... Then again, these agents can be quite clueless so who knows!

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on July 7, 2015. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.

Still no news.

Still no news.

A three day delay is typical of e-CAS. Basically, now it's time to produce it and mail it to you. People managed to learn from call centre agents that this is done in batches, so you can either get lucky or not (+/- 2 weeks).

Well, you said that in worst case scenario they'll start from scratch. Meaning that after 30 days you'll have 100% accurate info from GCMS notes and over 50 days left to make adjustments to the address based on that

Called CIC today, waited 15minutes to get to an agent. Stupid f*cker once again refused to log in to my profile to check my status. Claims that even though I am past the 83 processing day mark since I landed, she has to add another 2 weeks to the processing time so she can only log into my profile to check after 83 + 14 days.


WHAT THE F*CKING F*CK IS WRONG WITH THESE LAZY PEOPLE.

IS IT SO PAINFUL TO GET MY UCI NUMBER AND LOG IN TO MY PROFILE.

WHAT THE F*CK ARE THEY DOING THEN, JUST ANSWERING CALLS AND READING SCRIPTED LINES.

Lol, I'd rather save time and energy by hanging up and calling back again in hopes that I get a more competent agent (which I did). So once again, if you get Tiffany, hang up immediately!
