guys I figured out how to get agents from immigration to check the status on your PR card- after receiving the same answer from them that I have to wait 83 days+2 weeks mailing etc i got frustrated so i told them that when i called last week I was told that if i don't have an update on my e-case by today( give them the date you are calling) I had to call them back and they would check with the PR processing department.. Well after I told the agent this, he apologized that the other agent misinformed me and called the PR processing department to check on my PR card... he told me that unfortunately it is not even processed yet... I am a braids maid for my best friends wedding which is happening in a few weeks in Mexico ! this is so frustrating.. I landed on April 16 th and still haven't gotten my card.
I don't understand why can't Immigration Canada come up with a new document that gives new residents waiting for the initial PR card a document with which they can travel and which is issued at the time of landing (similar to the other landing document which allows us to cross the border by commercial vehicle) ? so we are not stuck in Canada and missing the business trips/vacations etc ! very frustrated! :( :'(

Thank you for the information. Landed two days after you. Since yours is not processed yet, I won't bother to call them at all...

Ok, I just called CIC for another issue, and the agent was pretty nice, so I asked her about my PR card. She said "under production now, not yet mailed. Will be mailed latest on July 20th".

I landed on April 18th.

By the Grace of Allah Almighty, finally after a loooooong wait of 88 days, I received PR cards of all family members today. Looks like PR cards were printed three days ago. Envelope is white in color (kindly see below).

Yesterday, I called CIC regarding status of my PR card and agent told me that PR card were posted at new address (which I changed in June). However, I received my PR cards at old address.

For anyone who is waiting for their PR cards, you should look out for an envelope which looks like this:

My Timeline:

Visa Issued : 17 NOV 2014
Landing Date : 12 APR 2015
PR Card Received : 09 JUL 2015

Congrats! What you said scared me though. I changed my address too after I landed and I called multiple times to confirm that they have my new address on file. Did you do that, i.e. call again to confirm that they have updated your address?

Thanks traxton!

Yes. I start my conversation with CIC agent by telling that I changed my address and I want PR cards at new address. I even asked them whether cards have been posted or not. In couple of instances, CIC was the one who repeated the address at which the cards were posted to.

After changing it online, I called them like 10 times in past two weeks ... and they always verified it with my new address. However, in my ECAS, it's still showing my old address. Btw, my old address is a UPS mailbox and new address is a residential premise. I received my PR cards in UPS mailbox.

Besides calling in to confirm multiple times that they have my new address on file, I have logged in to ECAS multiple times to change my address but the same address still pops up in ECAS. I will go completely apesh*t if they still mail the PR cards to the wrong address, especially after waiting for 80+ days.

This is CIC and you have to go by the way they work. ECAS updating is really slow and as other forum members have pointed out, it's highly unreliable. For me, 88 days of waiting was not an issue, since my application processing time took 7 years (yeah... that's like 84 months). Just keep on checking your old address's mailbox. According to my experience, CIC agents are the most clueless bunch of people in CIC and the information they give is either outdated or somewhat unreliable... so to speak!

She said that she can send me an email with information on how to check e-CAS. Lol)

She said the same thing and I told her my ECAS doesn't show anything other than that I have landed. And her reply was that, oh you have to wait 83+14 days for ECAS to show your PR Card status. Then why should I even bother to call in to check? What a clueless bit*h.

I don't live in my old address anymore & have no access to the mailbox that's why I called in and went online to change address right? Besides, I have been doing both since MAY, and multiple times to boot! CIC better get it right.

Then I think you need to ask them to change it in ECAS because I got mine at old address, as per ECAS.

I do have the same issue as well, CIC confirmed my new address and ECAS still shows the old address. My cards did not arrive to either unfortunately.

Apply for GCMS notes. They will contain the address the CIC uses for mailing the applicant.
