Hello Everybody,

Finally I just got my PR card. I landed April 10th. They have mailed the card on 28th. Canada post is slow, but you will receive the card. Good luck to everyone who's waiting for the PR cads.

thank you CEC_1304 & spaceexp for your valuable comments.

Yes the COPR was signed and dated by the officer. Also we got the SIN and OHIP renewed but we thought we have lost the original one as the one we have looks like a photocopy of something.

Today is day 93 since our landing, so far we received 1 PR card that arrived last week. Still waiting for 2 others including mine! After so much waiting time and the uncertainty of this I am don't know what to believe anymore. Already called CIC and they told me to wait till July 11 and if nothing to call again, what to do ...

Ask them what date they sent your card out. If it is past 6 weeks and you still did not receive it you have to fax them a solemn declaration form for never received card which will basically set your days back to day1! I faxed my form yesterday and they told me it will take another 83 days for me to get the new cards :(

Thanks siroccoon, I am supposed to call them on July 11. When I called them 3 weeks ago, they told me the cards were still in production. Then we received 1 card last week but 2 are still pending. I will keep you all posted and hope I don't have to send the Missing/Never received Card via Fax ... :-[

You should be fine, not to worry.

Definitely I don't wish anyone else to go through that process!! Imagine I have travel planned from this weekend and very little time for travel document in my next destination and then I have a follow on travel from Canada right after I am back. Now I will be forced to change my tickets if I dont get the card (thats just 0.01% hope left) by end of day tomorrow. I did all my bookings after CIC confirmed me the cards where shipped out but never expected Canada post will mess up big time.

Lol, I'd rather save time and energy by hanging up and calling back again in hopes that I get a more competent agent (which I did). So once again, if you get Tiffany, hang up immediately!

I actually had the 'pleasure' of talking to her. She seemed really pissed off. Guess, that's the attitude one needs to have to get a job at CIC's call center in Montreal.

Can you share the fax number?

Coutts, AB. Hang in there, your cards should arrive any time from now.

Fax number is in the form.

85 calendar days now

guys I figured out how to get agents from immigration to check the status on your PR card- after receiving the same answer from them that I have to wait 83 days+2 weeks mailing etc i got frustrated so i told them that when i called last week I was told that if i don't have an update on my e-case by today( give them the date you are calling) I had to call them back and they would check with the PR processing department.. Well after I told the agent this, he apologized that the other agent misinformed me and called the PR processing department to check on my PR card... he told me that unfortunately it is not even processed yet... I am a braids maid for my best friends wedding which is happening in a few weeks in Mexico ! this is so frustrating.. I landed on April 16 th and still haven't gotten my card.
I don't understand why can't Immigration Canada come up with a new document that gives new residents waiting for the initial PR card a document with which they can travel and which is issued at the time of landing (similar to the other landing document which allows us to cross the border by commercial vehicle) ? so we are not stuck in Canada and missing the business trips/vacations etc ! very frustrated! :( :'(
