Let's hope......I've been totally pissed off by CIC and CVAC(Shanghai, China) when they told me travel document processing time is around 1 month....

My husband has a 5 day business trip next week...

This. I'm in a similar situation (1 week trip) except that I hold visa waiver passport but also was told travel document processing time is 1 month. CIC should let us apply for travel document from Canada for trips we already know for whatever fee they want (US immigration has Advance Parole) It makes no sense that CIC does not give us that option. Immigration shouldn't dictate our life and what we want to do whether taking a business trip or personal trip. Stupid.

I am in the same state as well, have trips planned from this weekend and dont have PR card yet, very little time to apply for travel document. CIC shipped out 6 weeks ago, I did all my booking after I knew that cards were shipped and unfortunately Canadapost hasnt delivered yet. Hope they improve all these in future. This is so frustrating, anyways it is what it is now.

First time PR cards have more issues than expected
- no ECAS update
- no email confirmation when cards are issued
- no traceable shipping
- not allowed to apply travel document prior leaving Canada
- often changing processing times

Hi, Guys, Finally, our cards arrived today. 86 days have passed since we landed on April 11. It seems the cards were made on June 26, so shipping was not by riding on a horribly slow snail. lol.

Anybody who can respond on this?

I did landing at pearson airport and my wife did at Niagara Falls. I know many of you have done landing at niagara falls, could you please confirm if there is a stamp on the COPR for the people who did flag polling at niagara falls?
I have a pearson airport stamp where as my wife doesnt have a stamp on the COPR and looks like if it is a copy of something. Just curious to know we don't have anything different than what others have?

Thanks!

Did the officer sign and date her CoPR? I flag poled at Peace Arch and didn't get a stamp either, just a signature and date, and everything is OK with that (got my SIN with that CoPR, received PR card etc)...

Oh finally there is a status change online.
For all those who are eager to know whether it updates online for Permanent resident card status, yes, it does for me.
I landed on April 15th - 2015 and today(july 7th) there is a new sub heading on the ecas status saying 'Permanent Resident card application' and it is 'in process'.
Says they received my application on Month XX and the PR card was approved and will be mailed out soon.

Also my current home address is updated today to the address in Canada that I provided to the immigration while landing.

PS : I am yet to receive my PR card.

That's very unusual to have e-CAS tracking. You are quite lucky.

Yes! You can use COPR to enter Canada. You can use private vehicle or you can cross border by walking. You only need PR Card if you are using commerical vehicle (such as by air, sea, train, bus, etc).

Kindly go through this link : I am outside of Canada and do not have a PR card. How can I return to Canada?
