Can u plz tell me that what are the requirements for travel documents. is travel document issue by canadian office easily ?

Did landing on April 26..
I had a scheduled trip on June 14. i left Canada. i did the travel documents in Rome.. I came back using the travel documents on Jun 28, my card still no arrived..
I hope it will come soon.

Okay. Just had a chat with a very nice immigration officer (I think his name was Kevin or Evan, not sure).

I have just been told that my PR card file's processing have been completed (and immigration dept have processed and closed our files.) The only part is the photos and printing (of the cards) part and this usually happens within 30 days.

No, not yet. Still waiting (today is 80th day). So, hopefully will be getting in coming within a week or so.


Regarding Travel documents, I've received an email today from Islamabad VO. They say that applicant would have to submit his Travel Document application 8 weeks prior to travelling (but if you have an airline ticket to prove that you can't wait for 8 weeks, Visa officer may expedite your case's processing)

One more question is I landed on Calgary airport When I was in the custom line they just took our photos randomly but when i was doing my immigration they didn't take our photos & said ur pr cards will be at ur door steps after 6 to 8 weeks. I wanted to ask that our photos has been taken properly or not ? any idea ?

Not sure. But the only time Immigration took our photos was when we were asked to go to Secondary Services and Inspections area (more commonly known as "Secondary Inspection"). Over there, these took our CoPRs, Photos and CSQ. That's about it! It has taken 80 days now (and even we were told that cards would arrive within 6 to 8 weeks)

I called CIC yesterday and they said my card was mailed out on June 29th. I landed on April 11th.

I have Canada Post mail forwarding as I just moved house and apparently on the envelope the card is in, it does says "DO NOT FORWARD." I called Canada Post as well, and they said if they receive an envelope saying that, they will just send it back to CIC. I now have to wait about a week and a half hoping that the card gets sent back to CIC and then gets sent back out to me. So crazy. I can't believe it. I paid for mail forwarding and it won't even get forwarded!

I landed on April 10th at Halifax. Still waiting for the PR card.

I have contacted CIC call center, and the agent had informed the PR card was processed and send via mail on 26th of June. Hoping to get it this week. I am in Newfoundland.

Yep, my Mail Forwarding is with Can Post. I wish I had known about UPS before I arranged it with Can Post. I'm so disappointed. I need my card by August for travel...

I landed on Mar 1st, CIC sent the cards out on 29th May but Canadapost hasnt delivered yet and I do have travel plans next week (

Hi, I landed on May 18th at toronto airport. I gave my new address in canada. for some reason ECAS is showing new address as my home address and my old address as contact/communication address. I tried to update online, it didn't reflect my changes. I called up CIC call center and they give me a online link, where I gave my new address. Has anyone done that? How many days it takes to reflect address change?
