Just go to another Service Ontario branch and apply. The person who attended to you was incompetent and didn't know the rules. I got my Health Card renewed with only my COPR.
Same here. Just go to another location.
We got our OHIP renewal with COPR and the passport.

Yay!!! This is the best news I can bring - I received our PR cards this afternoon.
I am so grateful and relieved that this process is now fully complete.
Good luck to all. Hang in there, the process ends at some point.
Maybe we meet again on this forum when the time comes to launch our citizenship applications.

Congrats on getting your PR card and can you please confirm if your PR card was received in REGULAR or EXPRESS mail that required your id and sign. I am asking because, I will be out of town for a few weeks and was wondering if the card needs a sign or they would simply put that in my mail box. Thank you in advance.

Does CIC send the individual PR cards of all the family members in a single mail or separate mails?

A lot of people reported they have received principal applicant PR card separate from the other family members, which arrived altogether. But you can never be sure with CIC. If you receive them separately, don't worry, it had happened a lot before..

They ALWAYS use regular mail, lovingly called snail mail :P

With a COPR, your only option of entering Canada is through the border in a PRIVATE VEHICLE.

If your needs are beyond the above mentioned method, you need to contact CIC for a supplementary travel document.

The other option is not to complete ur landing before ur travel. Complete the landing , on your way back from your trip.

Oh may be you are right, could seniors answers this? Or anyone from outside Canada who has called them?
BTW is your home address shown in Canada when you login to ECAS and what about mailing address?

We landed at Toronto and returned back to the U.S. within a week. Rented a UPS mailbox in Toronto before going and gave the same mailbox address to the officer in Toronto. We called to check the status of our cards from the U.S. and were never asked if we are in Canada or not. Got my card within 5weeks but due to photo issues they did not issue my family cards (learnt about this over the phone with the CIC although the agent was a gem and sent me an email with the same photo retake letter which had been dispatched by snail mail). Sent them retaken photos by UPS from the U.S. to the address they specified on the photo retake email and rechecked with CIC if they had processed the cards for my family and then received the cards 3weeks later. UPS sent my cards to me when I instructed them to do so. So I guess u can do the entire process from outside Canada. So chill and get going you should get your cards within 6 to 8 weeks.
