Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

does anybody know that how many does it take to receive PR cards if they went into production. I called CIC yesterday and they says that your PR card has gone for production on 4th March.

Hi Seniors,

I just want to know if anybody get into this situation before me?
I landed on Feb 14th and I provided my appropriate canadian address. I also checked eCAS status couple of days back and both my address (home and mailing address) were correct. But some how today when I am checking my eCAS status, to my horror , my mailing address is changed to some weird address. This is the address I see there now.

Toronto, Ontario

I have no clue how did it happen and can anybody suggest if anybody has faced this before and can advice me what should I do next now ?

Hi Advutasamanya,

The mailing address is what you mentioned on your PR application and would remain for all correspondence except for PR card. PR card is mailed to the address that you gave at landing, which is generally residential address (home address).

If you have give home address for PR, you would need to ensure the address in eCAS is correct.

On Jan 27, pr card application status was updated. It mentioned pr card processing start, approval and mailing date. It stayed for 2-3 days then CIC removed it from profile. I came to know from there.

Mine went into production on February 11th , and it was mailed out this week ( March 3rd ) , I've seen other cases of card gone into production on xxx date and been received by applicant in less then 10 days after that , but that happen rarely .

The current processing time for PR card is 22 days. This means the time between you land and when the card is mailed. It has been noticed that these are average processing times. It has been seen that PR card processing is affected by the place you land and time of the year you land, so varies to some extent.

Just an update on my situation

Landed on the 5th of July 2014 but was still waiting for my wife's card.
Finally got an update while calling CIC last week. They apparently called my wife although they had 4 numbers, two of which had nothing to do with mine, on the 31st of October asking for a copy of her passport.

What I don't get is the fact I called them in Nov, Dec, Jan multiple times each month and no information of this kind was available.

They gave me a reference number, a fax number and all the stuff I needed to provide.

I sent everything by horse....sorry by pigeon...rah sorry, I meant by this wonderful technology from the 90's called fax.

I will call them next week to see if they acknowledged having received anything.

I landed on 2nd Feb at Toronto Pearson and was told by CIC on 27th Feb that my cards are in processing and to call back on 13th March if I do not receive them. Same here. Landed on Feb 5th, called them last week. CIC rep told me Card has been approved and is awaiting PR card printing. Also told me there is no fix timeline for that. Hope to get it this week.

Landed on 7th Feb and when i called them they said call us back if i didn't receive by 16th March.

Hi everyone

My PR card finally arrived at my Canadian address last week, just within the eight weeks as noted by the officer upon landing on 7 Jan 2015. ECAS is still not showing anything regarding the PR card application and my mailing address is still not updated although the current home address has been.

Hello guys

Can anyone answer me plz? I landed 5 weeks back and till now whenever i try to check my PR card status online it gives me invalid info. I tried UCI, Application # and document # and None worked. I called CIC and confirmed that my application is ongoing with no issues. Did it happen with anyone of u? Any advice how or who can fix this?

We landed on 1st February. I just rang CIC and was told my card was mailed 2 days ago
