Yes, I just spoke with the CIC agent. I was informed that ecas is not always reliable and current. They confirmed that my card went into production last week (19 Feb 15). Can someone please confirm how long it may take for the card to actually arrive in the mail after it was sent for production? 1-2 weeks? ( provided there are no mishaps with canada post). I have travel plans to Europe in April. Thanks!
I landed Jan 23rd , and my card was approved and sent to production on Feb 11th , card not in the mail yet .
I have another buddy who landed on Jan 7th , card sent to production on Feb 4th , card not in the mail either ,
And the list goes on and on ...
It's so weird thou, that nobody on this forum have received a pr card on these last 10 days :(

Thanks for update.

Can we find someway how many people on this forum did not receive pr card mailed on Jan 26. Then, we can give a call to CIC to find whether something went wrong in Jan 26 shipment.

Yes, you will have to select some options, I unfortunately don't remember them. They will ask you for you UCI/Application No, Name, and other personal questions to identify you.

For anyone else calling, it is 1,1,4,1 :-) They said our cards are in process but to wait 2 more weeks (March 9th) and call if they have not arrived by then. Hubby goes to the UK for business on the 6th :-( I know getting into the UK with a UK passport won't be a problem, but landing back in Vancouver on 14th might be? He's not there long enough to get a TRV. If the PR card arrives by 14th can I meet him at the airport to get it to him somehow??

Another option: After introduction message on 1-888-242-2100 press 1, 2 and 0 to talk to representative.

Hi..just have a question regarding ecas..just completed our landing formalities on 23rd feb..and currently the status shown on ecas for me is still "decision made" with comment "a decision has been made on your application and you will contacted regarding this"...what is the next status change on ecas after this? does it change to "completed"..how does it show the status of the PR card process?

TIA

I don't think you can get it to him at the airport. The best option is for you to mail it to him as soon as you get it, by some express option (DHL, Fedex, etc).

The next status will be "Complete" and when you open it it will say that you landed as an immigrant, with date and point of entry stated. It happened to me 2 days after landing, so it's not an immediate thing...

the automated PR card status when you call them is saying... processing time is 127 days..... and they are working on november applications and that's definitely not true

Finally good news! Received our PR cards in the mail today. After a long wait, the journey is finally over :D

Timelines:

Landing: 4th Jan 2015 @ Pearson International Airport, Toronto
PR Card Approved: 17th Feb 2015
Mail out date: Unknown
PR Card Received: 25th Feb 2015

FYI, there were absolutely no updates on my ECAS. Hope this helps!

Congratulations !!!! Thanks for sharing the good news , I have a question thou ,
When you call CC last week , did they tell you that your card was mailed out on the 17th ? Or they just told you that your was approved and sent for printing on the 17th of February ?
It just seems pretty fast the printing and mailing process in less then 10 days ,unless you live very close to the printing facility .

Congratulations again ! :)

this applies for PR card renewal not PR cards for new immigrants! I think they clearly made the distinction!

Thanks so much for the reply..Just checked ecas and my status has changed to "complete" with the comment you mentioned.. :) :)

Processing times: Permanent Resident Card
Last update: Febuary 21, 2015
New permanent residents --- 25 calendar days
(This time applies if you have provided your mailing address in Canada)

I am sure for none of us it is 25 calendar days, since many of us waiting since Dec. I called CIC again and asked them to open a case enquiry with PR CPC Ottawa, but the agent was reluctant to do so. Anyway she did finally and told me to call back after March 26th now to see the update on my card.

I wonder if CIC call centre information will ever be consistent :o
