after getting my pr card, is it normal for the pr card status to disappear?

Hi Everyone,

After a long wait of nearly 5 months, I got my PR card through Canada post on 23rd Jan.
Here is the time line.

29th Aug 2014 - Landed at Beaver creek
15th Jan 2015 - PR card in process (ECAS message showed up on 17th Jan 2015 - under PR card status)
23rd Jan 2015 - PR card received by Canada Post
27th Jan 2015 - ECAS message on PR card status disappeared !

During this 5 months period, I didn't bother to give a call to CIC.
I know it would have been frustrating to get no updates if you happen to talk to them.

But one thing, I did apply for GCMS notes in the first week of 2015.
No reply received yet. But nevertheless I got the card...

Hi

I landed at Vancouver intl airport on 8th Jan and I am seeing an update in ECAS as below. A new section for 'Permanent Resident Card Application' appears with status as 'In Process'.

And inside, I have the following 3 lines.

1.We received your application for a permanent resident card on January 10, 2015.
2.We started processing your application on February 5, 2015.
3.Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on February 4, 2015. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.


Can anyone please let me know when I the PR cards are expected at my mailbox.

Lol I didn't even know that there is another process to issue PR Cards and that involves status updates too.
I landed on Dec 29th and I was told to expect a mail with PR card by Feb 15th.

Hi All,

Has anybody landed at Person after Jan 4th received any updates on their PR card application?

I have not seen any updates on ECAS since the day I landed. The current processing time seems to be 39 days.

Add me too, that makes 3 of us....I called the CIC call center twice last week, all they say is its under production and we dont know when it will be ready.
They also mentioned processing time (39 days) doesnt mean it will be sent by post within 39 days. I dont see anything in ECAS either.
So inconsistent process, well we have no choice than to wait.
