One of my friend who landed abt 2 yrs before,she paid so she told me u can carry 50$ just in case they ask. So i wanted to confirm with u guys

Nope. No fee for the PR card. Whoever said that it's bullshit my friend. You don't need to do anything but wait for your card. You can call CIC call center at the end of January to get an update about your card. Currently processing time is about a month.

i have a friend that says that the cic goes back to check the status of criminal record from back home before sending out the PR card. Is that true?

I have called CIC today and they mentioned that my card application is not approved yet.
Could you pls suggest if anyone got an update which are on the same timelines and I have landed on 2-Dec-2014.
I dont see any update from the above list on ecas status date. Is is true that ECAS status is not changed after 12-Dec-2014.
