Hi ZingyDNA,

When i log in to ECAS, i see 2 addresses "Home Address" and "Mailing Address". Home Address is Canada Address and Mailing Address is USA Address. Do u think to which address they are going to send cards.

Thanks

I can't speak from my personal experience as I have the same address for residential and mailing, but I think they'll use your mailing address as it should be for sending stuff to you ;)

Thanks ZingyDNA for your timely response. I hope they send cards to USA address.

Cic do not send PR cards to addresses abroad. So your PR card will be sent to your home address in Canada, not your mailing address in USA.

Hm.. this may be a good point. They probably don't send PR cards overseas...

Thanks dizon09, hila01 and ZingyDNA.

Hello dizon09,

what is the number to call to CIC? I am living in USA now. I am OK if they send to Home address as that is my friend's address which i have given them at landing.

Thanks
Ravi

Hi. Please read this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=605&t=10

I am outside of Canada and do not have a PR card. How can I return to Canada?

We do not mail permanent resident cards (PR cards) to addresses outside Canada. Please choose the option below that describes your case.

If your card has been lost, stolen or destroyed, you need to tell CIC.

You may also need a passport to re-enter Canada. Please see the Canadian Border Services Agency website for what documents you will need at the border.
