Hi Guys,

My ECAS (PR Card Application) shows COMPLETE - August 23, 2014. Hopefully I will receive the PR Cards in a few days?

Hi guys, I landed on July 12, and I have a trip to Egypt in October. Just to be safe I want to apply for a travel document. Is it possible to get it IN CANADA? I called CIC and they told me to go to Canadian Embassy in Cairo and get it. My problem is I don't know anything about Egypt, I have never been to Egypt before, and I am gonna spend 1 day in Cairo to see the pyramids and that's it, the rest of my 7-day vacation I am spending far from Cairo, obviously I am not gonna have time to apply for a travel document in Egypt.

Is there a way to apply for it while still in Canada? I am a little bit confused since all the info I found states that only stateless persons can apply for a travel document within Canada, which I don't think is true, but at the same time I cannot find any info on HOW to apply for it within Canada...

Could someone possibly help me understand this?

Hi, as far as I know you can get this kind of travel document only abroad (not in Canada).

...also do we have to inform our FORMER EMPLOYERS about our new SIN? I was working for this lawyer and quit right before getting my PR, so the T4 will bear my old SIN number. Can I ask her to issue my T4 under the new SIN number?

She didn't send me a record of employment yet anyways and it has been 3 months now...

They took new snaps and on PR card they use old one, which i gave them at airport.

Congratulations Subu! it's funny..they took so long because of pic and finally sent with old one!

Did someone on or after 20th July Landing date receive PR card? I landed on 26th July. Still no news of PR card. No new column in ECAS for PR CARD status.

Hi, it should take about 10 days to get the card after status change to complete, but there are also applicants waiting more than 1 month. Hopefully you get it soon.

yes !! i landed on 25 July at carway. no new window online, called call centre last week , they told me to call back on 8 sep.
