Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi everyone.,

I landed on March 18 and still i have not received my PR Card.

When i Call CIC they say my file is under further verification.

Now the problem with me is that when i go to Service Canada with my COPR, they are not able to give me new SIN Number as they say they are no able to validate my information on COPR.

My current SIN gonna expire in Last week of this July and seems like i will be out of job then.

Please help

If they insist they cannot take your CoPR, you may need to apply for another temporary SIN based on your current work permit.

I got my new SIN with my COPR!

You can check the reason for verification with CIC.
If it has to do something with your COPR, you can request for urgent processing for Amendment of your COPR.
Once, your COPR is corrected, you can always apply for new SIN.

contact CIC, explain the issue, they will send you the instructions via email of how to apply for AMENDMENT OF COPR;
processing time for the amendment of immigration docs is 6 months
but you can apply for urgent processing if you are facing the loss of employment.

I am in the same situation but with health card;
got my SIN renewed with no problem but service ontario didnt process my health card renewal because of incomplete COPR

I filed an urgent request but no feedback so far

another suggestion - just go to different location; or same location at different time so you dont deal with the same person.
They might be lenient on you and process it without looking

However with my health card it didnt fly. All 3 different persons pointed on the same mistake on my COPR ;(

Thank you guys for your feedback but the thing is :-

My Work permit is also expiring in July

Secondly i don't know if there is any error in COPR, so what should i amend
There seems to be everything correct in COPR

Hey!
I called them on Fri and there was nothing new. They suggested me to call back in 3 weeks.

As for amendment of my COPR - I sent them an urgent request. I attached all supporting documentation confirming the urgency of my situation.
I marked my envelopes with URGENT stickers. I attached return envelope with tracking # for their convenience.
We'll see how it goes; I am patiently waiting.

I will call them after July 10th.
Trying to stay relaxed and calm but Jeez it's hard!!!!!

Mine as well, has changed from "decision made" to "complete" again !

When I called CIC yesterday, the agent said I have to wait for 2 months atleast after re-submission
But I know someone who received the PR card in 2 weeks after resubmission of photos

I got my SIN Card with the COPR....no questions asked....go to the main big Service Canada centres...

In Toronto, I got mine from Scarborough Town Centre.

Congratulations others who received it

Still no card for me! My wife called CIC and apparently we got screwed in some way (1: they didn't have the right address, 2: they want her to re-take her photo). Very odd!

The problem is that we have some international travel to do in August (we assumed that we would got the cards by this time). It is a problem for my wife as she usually needs a visa to re-enter Canada. CIC suggested her to go to the Canadian ambassy of the country we want to go (France) and ask for a travel document.

It's not gonna be a fun way to spend our holidays...
