Hello all,

What phone number you are calling to find out the status of PR card?

Thank you.

CIC call centre number is 1888-242-2100 from within Canada only!

hi

I called CIC today and they told me that my card was sent to me yesterday. I live in BC and hope receive my card in next week.

Guys, just to know what is your ECAS status after u received the card ? I could not access the ecas account after getting my card. Is the account cancelled after the process gets completed ?

Still "Decision Made". I've gone back to my original theory, that the eCAS status reversal has nothing to do with the PR card and it's a coincidence that they happened at about the same time.

It's now 59 days for first time cards!!
The situation with renewal card is getting worse, though (119 days)

I just called cic and they said I would get it by July14th according to current times, looked at my file and said they have not sent it out yet.

Any chances they would have sent it out and not updated ;D ;D ;D secretly hoping something like that happens ;)

This is a great sign. It seems to me that they had stopped processing cards altogether, and then suddenly processed several weeks' worth of landings in one batch.

It makes sense that renewals should take longer, there's extra paperwork, but 119 days is a farce.

Finally got my PR card today wohoo!!!! Issued on June 19th. Congrats to everyone who received their cards and to those still waiting...hang in there I'm sure you will get yours very soon.

WTF !! my friend did crossing on April 13 and he got his card … And when i called CIC they are saying its under review .. What does that mean ? Do i have to worry about anything? I was a BCPNP applicant but i moved now to TORONTO for better job opportunity. IS that gonna be an issue

When did you land?
Few applications will undergo verification process. If the application is under verification, it gets delayed by 2-3 weeks.
I think changing province should not affect the PR card processing.
My friend applied for PR from BC and moved to Alberta before he got the PR card.
But he didn't change the mailing address though!

As I understand it, once you land you are a PR. I'm not sure about provincial nominee programs, so I don't know if and how they can enforce you to live in their province AFTER you become PR through their program.

For you it's most likely some issue or mismatch of the info on your landing record: name, entry date/location etc. They'll get it sorted out before sending you the PR card.

I agree with Zingy, after you're a PR you can go anywhere. That's why CIC tried to stop me from moving back to Quebec prior to issuing me my PR. They thought I was "established" there because I went to school and worked there for a year. But now I could move back if I wanted.
