I have heard ppl saying to wait one year after becoming pr to prove ties to canada...I have heard they reject u saying tht u do not hv enuf ties if u apply immediately after becoming pr? is it true?

I did my landing on 8th June, i may have to change my address sometime in July....is there anyway i can change my address for the PR card delivery??

Yea, just setup mail forwarding with Canada Post.

Hi Guys,

I landed on March 19th, 2014 and I called CIC yesterday to check the status of my PR card and agent told me that CIC mailed the PR card to my address yesterday. I am hoping to receive the card some time in another 4 to 5 days.

Lets hope for the best...

Yea, just setup mail forwarding with Canada Post.

Canada post won't forward the PR cards to different address , PR card mail envelope has a DON'T forward sign.

Hi I have a good news and bad one
Good news is I received my pr card yesterday and I landed on 14 march 2014

Now the bad news is my spouse have travelled to our place and is supposed to come back to cananda via USA
Will her COPR is still a valid document as pr is already received at home
Or

Do I have to travel to the border to cross into USA and fetch with our freshly minted cards

I landed on march 2nd and still nothing.

I contacted CIC and the girl has no idea what's going on. She says all the information is there but for some reason is taking longer than normal. She said she will contact the local office and they will mail me more information about the situation.

I am really worried that something has gone wrong.
