thats what my point is...they do not issue the card with the date when we landed so what about all the time we waited to get the card?
say i landed in April and I get my card in July with the expiry date till July 2019 and as per a your post, we have to fulfil the 730 days from july 2014 to july 2019.! ok fine...bt what about the time I waited to get the card from APRIL to JULY?

See rawfile's post. You actually have to apply 6 months before your pr card expiry. In your case in January 2019 you have to apply for pr card renewal. So you have to be in Canada as a PR for 730 days from January 2014 - January 2019. So your waiting time actually will count.

Yes. You will see the status in the same place as your application.
But the PR card status is seen only after they start processing your application.

How to check the status of PR Cards for dependents?
Does the ecas of Primary applicant show all the dependents as well or do I have to login as dependent to check the status?
You must use dependent's UCI numbers to check their status.

It would be interesting to know today's CIC new PR card processing time update. Hope it doesn't touch 100 days :o

Crossing 92..!!!! :)
