Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

PR card takes up to 7-8 weeks. Relax!

Sorry, I thought you were the one with problem renewing licence. It was chloe2013. Wondering if online renewal option in Ontario would work for her.

I have contacted CIC call center today, they said there are some delay ,You need to add 2weeks to the processing time shown in website

Landed at the end of February and called CIC today saying my card has not been ready yet. Also was told that I should wait until May 12 to call them again if no card arrived.

As iam_toby mentioned, it takes 6-7 weeks. People from February still have not received their cards, its very unlikely you'll get yours before they do.

I'm assuming you have nothing else that they will accept? I'm not saying to do this, but I'd keep driving if i had to (not wanted to) and if I get stopped by Police I'd let them know the situation, It's nothing on my part that I have failed to do, it's a crack in the system and I shouldn't be punished for it.

I won't drive if my license is expired. I will just have to walk or take taxi. But I am hoping the PR card arrive soon. I live in Alberta by the way.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say if you don't know how to use a spreadsheet, please ask me or someone that does to add you to the list as people are messing it up. Every few days I have to go in and Type the username box because that is the one usually selected when you open the spreadsheet and people accidentally remove the text. Today I found someone shifted half the users down by like 20 cells and had to move them back.

thanks for your answer in advance for those who can help me. I know this is not about waiting for PR cards but since all of you did your landing already maybe you can help me.

For the health card, can we do this immediately after landing? what did you show as proof of address? we are planning to land in edmonton.

the requirements are copr, passport, and proof of address in alberta

That's the correct decision. Don't drive with expired license.

I know in Ontario MTO recognizes Foreign Passport + COPR as valid ID for permanent residents. It's unfortunate that Alberta apparently doesn't do that.

No no, I'm an idiot don't worry. What happened was the 2013 loads on opening the link, so someone added their username there and it started with an M, so I thought it was you, but it wasn't Matt the Aussie. So I removed it and started typing your info in the 2014 workbook. After I did that, I arranged by the date column so everything would be in order and then I saw Matt the Aussie twice (the one you typed in, and I). So I just removed the one I wrote as the landing place was based on the user I thought was you and the dates were giving me issues. So basically don't worry your lively hood is not in jeopardy.
