Not waiting any longer :D Got my PR card yesterday; landed on November 8, 2013. The lady at YVR told me it would take 2 months and it did.

I know it's still very early for me but I phoned CIC to find out what the status of my card is - It's still in process ;)

Amusingly he pointed out that it takes so long because they need to print a card. Funny that SO are able to produce a health card in 10 days and SC are able to produce a SI card in only a few days...

They are either incredibly dysfunctional or have a real lack of resources...

According to the video www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/multimedia/video/pr-card/pr-card.asp, PR card has state of the art security features.. May be the card is not produced in mass and requires individual handling. Still, 2 month wait period is too long - I guess CIC wants to keep it that way.

The processing time has dropped 9 days in the last week. May be it will drop further.

Landed today.
added my name and date on the tracker!

Thanks eds 1275, my only concern now is that, my son card has not yet arrived , myself & my wife's arrived on 9/1/14.hoping it arrives in a week or so.

My wait for PR card still continues :(

Resubmitted the photos on Nov 18 and called CIC last week and the agent told me that they got an email from sydney that the photos were never received...Canada post tracking says that the photos were delivered to sydney on nov 18...the agent replied to the email again with the tracking number..the wait continues..4 months so far since landing and no PR card :(

I sent the photos to the below address via Canada post which is a PO box address and not a Courier address..does this impact in anyway?

Case Processing Centre -
Permanent Residence Card
P.O. Box 4500
Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6L1

I called them and was told that our pr cards was sent out since jan. 6th, uptill now we haven't received anything. kind of frustrated. just wondering if anyone have been on similar situation :'( >:( >:(

Your son should get it soon..and you dont have to worry about the missing last letter.. CIC and CBSA system will have complete details.

My BC healthcare took me close to 2 months to get. So I'm not surprised.

After a long wait of 4months, I was told by cic that my pr card has been dispatched on Jan 18 (its a saturday :D), the wait begins again....

Hi ceclmo777, How did your Travel Document application go? How long did it take to receive from New Delhi office?

Hi guys,

couple of clarifications -
1> Does CIC send any email notification etc. when they post PR cards?
2> For a family, do they send cards together or it arrives separately for all?

Hi Tom32,

No CIC don't send any email notification. only way is to call them and check if the PR cards are dispatched.

Yes the PR card is sent separately. Sometime you receive it on the same day or sometimes different days.
