I landed on Nov 23rd. Should I call them to check the status and find out, as lot of people came to know about photo issues only after calling them.

You mean to say that CIC will never contact you regarding photo issues? and it is our responsibility to contact them to see if there are issues with photos? When is the right time to call?

I feel this process is stupid. Why cant CIC tell photo issues upfront when we submit them?

What photo issue are you talking about? I landed on 18th decemeber..should I check with call center to make sure that they have eveyrthing to process my PR Card.

If the photos submitted are found not as per the specifications, cic will ask to submit new photos for pr card.

As per previous posts, the request comes only when they start processing your pr card application and only when you call cic enquiring about the status.. If you call now, call centre will tell you to call after a month when your application will be in process.

These are the photos you submit along with passports. No extra photos are required during landing.

select 2. I called them and they told me that our pr cards was sent out since yesterday so I am expecting to receive it by weekend

I called CIC to check my status. They said my file is not yet opened and has no info on it. They asked me to call back on Jan 25th.
