Hi Bhanavig,

Can you please advise where do you get the information from? I would love to hear that! However, when I talked to the call center agent this morning, they said I need a travel doc for US.

The link only tells me that I need a travel doc when returning to Canada without a PR card. Could you please direct me to the specific page? Thanks a bunch! :)

I was thinking fly to Seattle, rent a car and drive to Vancouver and coming back. However, it says that you need to be in your own car.

I thought you are travelling by road, if it's flight you need to have travel doc.

Too bad. :(

You cannot Travel from US to Canada by flight if you dont have a PR card

Hi Taosu,

How did the urgent process request go? Did they accept your request?

taosu said:
Sent an email to CIC requesting for urgent processing. Got rejected. The person said I should contact CIC call centre. WTF! I have been calling them for 3 weeks and the call centre can do nothing! I clearly stated that in the email!!!

Send another request today. So angry about this. Every single step of this process is delayed!

Based on the info I got from some forum members, you may get travel doc between 25-30 days. I checked with airlines and also UK immigration, you can travel via UK without a transit visa if you have a US visa., But I would suggest you to check with your airlines...

Thanks, I am planning through British Airways, they said to contact the local british embassy. I am yet to call them. I hope this wouldnt be a problem if I have a US business visa.

I strongly suggest that you check with British Airways...they are typically very strict compared to other airlines...do let me know whats the outcome..

I hate this card delay process. This is getting into my nerves now. UK embassy doesnt have anything but an automated caller system. BA guys says they need a Transit Visa costs $100 per person. Transit visa is also doubtful because I do not have valid PR card. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Interesting, I called the UK Immigration in london. They said I need a PR Card, if not US B1 will work but I must have been travelled to US in last 6 months which I did not. So lot of confusion and frustration just bcoz of card delays.
