Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

My girlfriend landed on May15..... And still waiting for the PR card...
Yes it's almost 150days from her landing. We contacted CIC and they are completely useless.... Keep saying they don't know what is happening in the processing centre either ( Sydney, Nova Scotia)

Anyone suggestions what to do?

Hi All,

I got Paasport stamped with IM1 visa till April.
Have few questions, please clarify.

1. Photo Request, I have attached new photo as per the below information 50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm
and 36 mm (1 1/4 inches and 1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head) &
received COPR with same pic. Will they ask again for new photo request ???

2. Has anyone's friend/ family/ relative shipped his PR cards outside Canada? Especially in cases where the new residents just did soft landing and left to return later.

I would say to wait for 30 days and see if you get anything which covers the 6 months clause. If not then she can apply for pr card herself.

1. We dont know if they will ask again. No one can tell now till you receive your card. So make sure someone checks the letter frequently to see if there is any photo request or pr card. Sometimes they send via mail if they cant send via email to you. if thats the case then you can send a new photo which you can send it from outside Canada as well - have seen many members did the same.
2. Yes you can ask them to send it (of course using some good courier companies like ups, fedex etc). I asked my ups guy to mail it outside of Canada (i gave ups box address while landing).

I have received Visa stamping on last week, i got COPR through Onatrio- OINP.
When i started to search for job before landing, got some positive response from Quebec.

So i have few doubts regarding moving to another province after landing in Toronto and staying for a weel.

If i am a PNP nomine does this mean i cannot live/work to other provinces? Let say I'm a OINP nomine failed to find a job before landing and decided to moved in Quebec after getting a job there,. Then here comes applying a citizenship DOES this affect my application?Huh

Can someone thru some light on this...

The CIC asked me to re submit photos just for my son as I got pr card. I have sent it with right specifications
Again they sent me to resubmit photos as they are not with requirements
I am sure photos are right please friend help me what is the problem any similar case

I would like to update that I received my card through courier outside of canada. My friend who collected the card dispatch to me by dhl and received at oman in 5 days

Still haven't received my PR card. Called CIC this morning and this time they were telling me they received my photos sent in August but my PR card hasn't been processed yet. What a joke! They asked me to call back if it does not arrive by November 28. I am super frustrated now!!

So I called again this afternoon and I was lucky enough to speak to an agent who was willing to look into my file. She told me my card had been processed they were in the process of verifying the mailing address then it will be sent out. Hopefully I will be able to come back here with a good news!

I have same situation here, I land it on June 13 and still waiting my pr card. Did they ask you to resubmit photos?

I got a request for resubmitting my photos in July. My new set of photos arrived on Aug 18. I don't know why it takes only 2-3 weeks to process the resubmitted photos for other people but takes over 2 months to process mine.

Did you give them a call to check on the status?

I did photos almost same time like you. Also called them they said my card is in production, call them back if i didnt receive anything by Nov.....
I am losing my mind here

I had the same problem for my wife's photos. I took pictures in USA. I sent my first set of photos with exact specifications. On the back however I was not able to get the stamped name of the photographer (Walgreens). I think that is why those pictures were rejected.

Second set of pictures were taken at CVS again USA. CVS uses a computer software to adjust the picture specs for Canadian passport. That dude edited the background as pure white. He used a special stamp with that CVS location and was confident it works for Canadian immigration. I sent these pictures and they accepted it. I called CIC to confirm that. I hope this helps in your situation. I have different issue that the cards were mailed but not received even after 19 days.

Just checking back after a long time.

Got my PR card recently.
Flew out of the country and back.

Used Pearson airport's ABC (https://www.torontopearson.com/abc/#)
It was such a joyful moment standing in resident's line instead of visitors line waiting to be interrogated.

You should receive it shortly since it is already in production. I dont know when mine will be processed and when I will get out of this PR card nightmare..sigh..
