Did you have to resubmit a new photo or did they accept the old one on your COPR?

hi,

no same photo.

the fact is they changed the pr card layout from nov 21st 2015.

so new photo size is 50 x 70 mm.

so whoever submitted 35 x 45 mm old pics. then they will ask for new photos.

i remember they changed the photo size around dec 3rd week. so people who got ppr after dec 3rd week have already submitted new photos. so they are safe.

people who landed before this time and who haven't got their pr card will get new photo request.

That's the point. I am from a visa exempt country, hence I never received a passport request. The COPR was mailed to me directly.

Not necessarily. I got my PPR at the beginning of November. The PPR asked for 34 x 45mm photos so that's what I sent. I got my PRC a couple of weeks ago.

so they didnt attach photo to your copr?

as they usually give 2 coprs one with photo which they take while landing and the other without photo which you keep with you.

Congratulations Alice

When was it dispatched for you ? Pls share your timeline

Thanks! As far as I understand the card was ready on Feb 11, 2016, as it expires on Feb 11, 2021 given that the cards are issued for exactly 5 years. so it took them 41 days to process it + 8 days mailing time (I am in ON). My husband's card has not been received though we landed the same day.

Of course! :)
They sent me two COPRs - one with and one without a photo. I originally sent the photos to CIC along with my federal application back in December 2014, so they still had the old specs.

Thanks, Taddy! That gives me some hope. It's not that I am traveling any time soon but I just can't wait to finally be holding it in my hands! ;D

Yes, I did have a photo attached to one copy of the COPR, and it was the old size. I really don't understand the logic as to why some people do have to resubmit, and some don't.

Congrats! Such a long waiting period. I'm now only 140 days, maybe for more 40 days I can get my card.
Damn CIC

Naticom, have you tried calling CIC to find out what's going on with your card?

My daughter's card arrived today, 12 days after mine. Landed Osoyoos November 29th.

I am running on day 146, Calling them almost 2-3 times a week. nothing worked out.

In fact, I was looking for you and wanted to know if you get the card or not. I do really wanna know what happened to us - the late September YVR landers. Did the rep "leave a message to production team" for you?

I landed at the Calgary Office (CIC office in the Harry Hays Building) on January 12th. Today, I received the card (so exactly 6 weeks from landing). Looks like the card was issued on Feb 15th so 34 days to process (from landing to issue date).
