So I might know why my PR Card was delayed.
I just received my GCMS notes, and there were 2 outstanding fees of $50 each for PR Travel Document, and PR Card
There are no other notes to say what the cause of the delay might have been.

Are not you landed first time? and how is it possible that yr PR card fees are pending?

Can you brief yr case lil more?

Yes, this was a 'first time' PR card application. I have no idea why fees were applied. I certainly didn't pay them.
I guess this is just one of the many ways that things can get messed up.
If I was really bothered I could apply for GCMS notes once again (wait 30 days) and see if anything was captured in the file which gave a clue as to what triggered the issuance of the card. Frankly I don't want to have anything more to do with CIC :- until I have to renew my PR card (6 months processing - WTF )

I have landed on 2-Dec and my address is going to change from 1-Jan-2015.
Could you please suggest if can I change directly in ecas now, so that by that time they process my PR card, they see my new address ?
(This will be different address which I have provided at the time of landing).
Or
Call CIC and request for Address change
OR
use Mail Forwarding option from Canada Post

Could you please suggest which one is the better option.

hello everyone, need some suggestions: i landed on 29th Nov and booked my tickets to travel out of the country on Mid Feb. Do you guys think that i should be worried based on teh current trend inlcluding upcoming holiday seasons?

do you think a copy of my plans including tickets to CIC will help expecite the process?

please advise as re-planning any travel plans with 3 kids and a spouse is a nightmare.

So unless you think that the postman will ignore this, or you have someone who will forward the mail for you, then I strongly suggest you contact CIC and update your address with them

hello guys,

i called cic today to check on my pr card..i landed on nov 2

they told me it is approved on nov 18 but is in production

then the lady put me on hold and cane back to say that there is a note in the file that "may be" (she repeated "may be " 5 times) the photos are not complaint but she is nt sure

i mean if u saw a note in the file then tell me honestly and i will send it...i did nt understnd her saying "mau b" part

so i m sure i need to resubmit the photos again and for that i need to wait until they let me knw abt it formally thro an email or letter

wat a system is this...feel pathetic
