Waiting + 3 months since test/interview to DM. Anyone else?

Seems like there could be a long wait. Seeing how long people wait here, humbles my woes about not having a DM a few days after the test. Just as others here, I am in the background/security check or whatever stage. The officer at the interview told me there is no telling how long it will take, but he mentioned something like two month. Who know really. So far it has been only 6 weeks, so basically nothing. Hopefully the next steps will come soon for those who wait, but it's clear that it's our of our hands.

There is a trend that i noticed, people that takes long to get DM usually receives DM 5 months after status went IP

It makes sense ... We shouldn't count the time from the interview because the checks start when the application goes to IP ... interview is just a step along the way

No, at all!
I called the call center and send them several mails and I get always only one response: Everything looks fine and as long as you still within the 12 months frame, you should be patient!

I sent him an e-mail two weeks ago and his office replied that they would contact the IRCC and get me back, no news then!

I would email them again or even try to visit his office

I have just got his response. Typical of what is said by the call center:


Voici les renseignements concernant l’état de la Demande d’octroi citoyenneté canadienne – adulte de votre commettant :


· La demande a été reçue au Centre de Traitement des demandes à Sydney, Nouvelle-Écosse, le 8 juin 2017.

· Selon les délais de traitement actuels, cela pourrait prendre jusqu’à 12 mois pour finaliser la demande,

o si votre commettant doit voyager durant cette période, il devrait présenter une demande de renouvellement de sa carte de résident permanent.

· Les vérifications de criminalité sont présentement valides.

· Les vérifications de sécurité sont présentement valides.

· Le bureau responsable révise présentement la demande et la prochaine étape sera la cérémonie de citoyenneté.
