Just today i see they have updated the status saying the passport has been couriered back to us. Should be getting them in next 2 to 3 days and my parents could travel .

Its really unfortunate that they could not get the visa on time and delay in processing time. Good Luck to everyone who is waiting on the visa.
What does the 'Final decision' status state?

They will get their passports tomorrow, not in 2-3 days, through Blue Dart

That's fantastic :)

One passport has already been stamped with the TRV. Most probably the other passport too has been stamped. But you will know when you get the passport back, else you can submit that passport for visa stamping in the US (if you get a passport request)

Thanks Bryanna . I am also hoping that other passport is stamped as well. Fingers crossed.

Timelines posted on the IRCC website are only estimates.

You can send a Case Specific Enquiry. If the CSE is sent before the estimated processing time then IRCC will not reply to the CSE

No, same day visa stamping is not possible.

Also, they cannot submit their passports directly to NDVO, but to VFS Ahmedabad. BTW visa stamping will be done by the Bangalore consulate.

You must factor in passport transmission time of 4-10 days

No, they cannot visit the LA visa office. Again, same day visa stamping is not possible. They must submit their passports to the nearest CVAC (NY/LA)

Thank you for your prompt response and guidance Bryanna!

Current 19 Days timeline for India Visa processing is 19 working days or overall 19 days? Accordingly I will submit CSE.

It is 19 overall days.

For couple of us it turned out to be 19 working days

As mentioned earlier by Bryanna and others, the processing time is accurate to roughly 80% of the applications and is case specific. There's no set number of days for the applications to be processed in.

Hello,

I hold canada PR and stay in Montreal. I recently got married and applied TRV for my spouse on March 16th. The status says still in progress though it has been more than 20 business days. The normal processing times indicate as 19 days. Any suggestion when could I get a status? Also what is the probability of getting the visa?

Regards,
Karthik

You can try linking his paper application to his online account for more updates:

Processing times posted are only estimates/indicative. So there's no way of knowing how long it would take to get a decision.

Also, it's not possible to predict the probability of getting a TRV. Having said that, the chances of getting TRVs are much lower when one has a Canadian spouse. It would be best if you could start the outland PR sponsorship process instead
