Hello guys.

Moving from international students, I'm already in Canada and my parents want to come to visit. How long is the process taking for a visitor visa? For how long would they get their visitor visa? Does this vary or is it a common time?

Im from Honduras. Canadian citizen bur my parents still live in Honduras. They have had at least 5 canadians visas before.
Their timeline is:

1 application: june 9th 2021
Biometrics: june 22th 2021
Raised webform: August 6th 2021
Automated answer: September 6th 2021
2nd application: september 25th 2021
Now waiting....

I spoke with my MP (he called IRCC) and he told me if you re applied after september 7th, and are reuniting with a canadian, it should take 30 business days after biometrics.

Applied for : Father/Mother ( I am a PR )
Biometric : Aug 12, 2021
Webform: Sent a Webform request on Oct 8 for exception as they are my immediate family member
Reply from Webform: Advised to apply again due to Sep7 notification and mentioned if not applying then application will be processed as per timeline
Current Status: Finally received PPR request today which is Oct 16 Saturday.

People who have their application filed in April/May should expect a reply soon, no need to apply again as this does not really matter unless you applied it recently like July/Aug. Please ensure to sent a Webform with all documentation like PR card, proof of relationship as you may get it processed on time.


I have a question for admins whether my parents need to visit VAC center or they would collect the passport from home. Does anyone has idea what is the timeline to stamp the passport in India ( Delhi)
