Hi all,

I am in the process of applying for visitor visa for parents and parents in law (from India).

I had some doubts about the forms and other documents while filling the application.
  1. Travel History is asked in the document checklist of only the primary applicant; should I give details for the second spouse?
  2. As I will be filing the application on their behalf, I should submit IMM5713 and IMM5476; is that correct?
  3. As proof of funds, I plan to submit their bank statements and also my income details in Canada; is that sufficient?
    1. if their account balance is low, would my income help in approval?
  4. For purpose of travel, is an itinerary of 3 weeks sufficient? I hope I don't have to show to and fro tickets
  5. Do I need to submit the optional document 5257_1e for both; can only the spouse add this with the travel history?
Also, the parents seem to have their full name added in the GIVEN NAME field of Indian passports; should I add the complete name in both Family Name and Given Name fields in the forms?

Hope somebody can clarify on my doubts.

TIA.

Do not apply until you have NOA showing you make over LICO. Will likely get refused without it. You must show proof of income earned in Canada not salary.

Yes, I plan to attach to attach my NOAs.

I guess the LICO is applicable only for Super Visas, but hope it could help my case.

1. Travel history is to the US, UK, NZ and AUS. include both.
2. Yes.
3. Your funds do not have to be considered. Make sure they have at least $10k cash in the bank per person for a 2 week visit. NOA is relevant for TRV. Parents show their own funds and ties to return (children under 22, job letters with approved leave, business, income property etc.). They need to show they can afford to visit. If bank balance is low then IRCC will be concerned that they will overstay and/or cannot afford to visit Canada.
4. Yes. Don't buy tickets.

Thank you.

They have travel history for US, but not within the last 10 years;
However they have travel history for other countries including within Europe.

So not travel history that IRCC wants them to have - valid US, AUS, NZ or UK visas. These are the 5 eyes as they all share immigration information. If they have any refusals, for any country, they must mention them.
