Also, if they are going to make us wait like this (go through this excrutiating process), the government should pay for our visits to our loved ones and ensure that we will have our jobs when we come back. Its dooable right!

How on Erarth could we keep up our relationship NORMALLY without even getting the chance to meet?! Its a bounch of money, plus two weeks holiday a year... Anything above this its going on absence getting no money for that.... And the foreigner is usually working as well - in my case well, I am not working right now, but I would need 3 tickets right away, and if we stay for a longer period, we would need privat insurance - hahaha....
Ooohhh plus you never know when will you be invited in for an interview and then get 3 tickets right away?! Okay, I dont want to make myself angry.
But anyways, hold on , we cant do anything about it....

Rks I was thinking of contacting the MP but after reading this I will think again... They just seem to say the right words!!! OMG the fastest VO, lucky us I bumped into posts from Vienna tread at this time last year, things really started moving then! I was so sure that September will bring good news for any one of us, I am so disappointed. I ordered my GCMS notes, should be getting them in the next 2 weeks. I just don't know what to do if they show that my file wasn't even open and I got the AOR from Vienna on 01 March. Wish us a week with any kind of news!!!

This is what we were all hoping for, around the end of August dear friend. That as soon as September came things would have started rolling! But no dice!

Paris VO 9 months processing time and has so far dispatched all applicants in less than 4 months. I know of all our February Paris applicants are now in Canada since before summer!

Rome VO 13 months processing time and so far all the Greek people I know who are dealing with Rome were dispatched and landed in Canada in less than 8 months.

London VO 10 months processing time according to my own stats applicants there were dispatched in less than 5 months with some only waiting for the Visa to be emailed.

Here is an Idea, not that it will make our apps go faster but at least it will put our minds at ease. I will try to compose a short letter of complain to Vienna asking them to explain why so far they have not issued a single COPR even though other VO's are dispensing COPR's despite the strike.

If someone has an idea how to do it nicely and send it off with our email signatures let me know. Of course I will not initiate something like this unless everyone here agrees.

Long distance marriages are not normal. The fighting, oh the fighting.. im so over it! What makes this all worse i just started a new job so asking for time of wouldnt be the best idea :s

I hope soon we will all be with our loved ones.. its been wayy too long

Toronto ASAP Vienna last year was really slow nothing faster than this year , i know how you guys feeling , i think in Ocotber for sure some of you will get news, i remebred last year it was slow until october after that they start to work and to profe.

Tom i really agree Vienna is the slowest embassy , rks i rembered that MP told me they can not speed the process with embassy , but they can contact them and see what is going own with your file,
RKS i rembered the MP told me if your applications is longer than 10 months with Vienna they can contact them , i know how stresful this waiting time is it, last year for little bit i gave up, but i had so many people supporting me .

What we do here is consulting the sick We say here in Greece. "John is buying the drinks, John is drinking" hehehe.
We only complain here to vent out some of the steam. We all know in reality that unfortunately until 12 months have elapsed there is nothing we can do.
It's just that I wish I never had come here to this forum last year. Or maybe that there was no forum. this way you don't know what is happening to other VO's and you simply wait. Like I did back in 1980 when I applied for my Immigrants visa.
But on the other hand if there was no forum then i wouldn't had met all of you lovely people that are my friends now.
And be sure of this it will continue even after we all get our COPR's

I was bit late, just came from work, and i saw your update. I am 100% with you Vienna deserve to explain for us what is going on to our applications we all know processing time is not ending yet, but its really strange to see since January Vienna didn't even sent one PPR. That deserve to be question. I am glad one of us will do something. But again we all know they wont do anything about that they just going to sent an email with lots of excuses why they not call anybody.....

well i rembered when i moved in Canada it was waiting period for the family only 6 months, and now is forvere , is harder and harder, but we have just to be partients
