The race is on!!!...You and I got our DM on same day...My case is in LA...yours I am thinking is in Ottawa...Wonder which mail system will work the fastest...actually I am not even sure if ours goes back to Ottawa or not...I do know the the Minister's Rep in LA had to sign off before DM so...

i am in N California, you most likely get yours just ahead of me. lol at this point a day or two is no big deal. My wife can book her plane ticket, and be here in Feb. Then we are driving from California to Nova Scotia. I officially retire in feb.

Too cool...we are going to be driving from VA to Vancouver..We are not ready to retire yet but we are becoming grandparents in Jan!

I have a question...when the paper work comes with your PR info does it come registered mail,courier or regular mail?

Just regular, untrackable mail, with no indication as to when they send it! Yay CIC!

Well one thing I hope our file is still in LA....It takes no time for the mail down here... Now coming from Ottawa...thats another story!

Where was your interview?...I could not find too many USA to Canada people that had to have an interview...How did it go?..Ours was really just a friendly chat!

Hello! I have a question and I was wondering if anyone would know the answer. I have been in Canada for 2 years on a visitor visa. My husband and I applied for permanent residency in November of 2015. My visitor pass is up as of December 30,2015 . I have heard a lot of conflicting stories and I wanted to make sure I do not mess up. Since I applied for PR do I still need to apply for a visitor extension? Or am I on implied status till a decision is made for PR? :-\

I just added all my info in the notes and asked to add....I have tried PC/Laptop//MAC Pro/Mac book...I found the notes thing at the bottom....

Anyone who landed in October get their PR card yet? I landed on Oct. 5th and still don't have it. I tried the call centre just now but they wouldn't even put me on hold due to a "high volume of calls", pfft.

My husband got the document request email last month, but we still haven't gotten a 3rd line in Ecas. No "medical receive" line. Even though we sent in with application. Is that normal to sometimes not see that? Also, does doc request mean they are getting closer to making decision? I'm just so excited for everyone who's been getting DM lately, I'm hoping I'm coming up soon. Fingers crossed.
