Sent the package of paperwork to my wife in Canada today, she just needs to sign a few things and it is off to Mississauga, Nice to have this part done. Oh, had my medical this last Friday.

Congrats! Must be some relief eh? Those packages took forever to organize! >_< Hoping for a speedy approval :D

Trying to get through to the Call Centre. Voice prompt options waste 5 minutes of my life each time I call, then won't put my call through to an agent. Latest excuse: unusually high volume of calls. Love how my tax dollars are being used by this government -- NOT! Just trying to confirm that my spouse's FBI check has been attached to our application. We had to wait two months after we received it to submit it while waiting for our UCI and SA. Sent it by UPS 2 days after we got notice that file was being transferred to Ottawa. That was four months ago. Never received any confirmation of receipt. I'm aging rapidly here! Any suggestions as to when MIGHT be the best time to try to get through to the Call Centre?

What works for me is when I call back to back... It seems the first time I always get the representatives are busy and to call back at another time. I'll hang up and call right back, it always puts me straight into the 17 min queue.

Did you order your GCMS notes? They should contain this information. Mine did:)

tRYING REPEATEDLY TO GET THROUGH TO THE CALL CENTRE -- SAME DRILL, GO THROUGH 5 MINUTES OF VOICE PROMPTS, THEN GET "UNABLE TO TRANSFER YOUR CALL." jUST APPALLING SERVICE TO THE FOLKS WHO FUND THEIR MINISTRY, THE TAXPAYERS OF THIS COUNTRY. gUESS THE GOVERNMENT REALLY NEEDED THAT 7.5 MILLION BUCKS FOR ADVERTISING/CAMPAIGNING, INSTEAD OF HIRING MORE STAFF FOR CIC! sORRY FOR SHOUTING -- HIT CAPS LOCK INSTEAD OF SHIFT.

ROFL, I immediately saw you hit the caps lock based on the fact every sentence started with a lowercase letter.... But I had fun reading it as if you were yelling, it put a humorous twist into it :D

Just curious: how long after submitting your app did you order your GCMS notes?

I'm no where near that point, but I like knowing what options are available to me in the near future.

Thanks!

About a month after Sponsorship Approval. There was nothing on there other than I had passed my medical and that my FBI check had been attached to my application:) it costs $5 to order your notes and you have to wait 30 days, then they email em.

You gem! Thanks for the info.

Np! I know it's a pain in the arse to try and get in touch with anyone at CIC, the notes at least gave me some peace of mind about my FBI check.

Here's a walkthrough if you don't know how to order GCMS notes -

I am still waiting on the FBI to process my husband's fingerprints. We sent at the end of February and still no charge to the credit card.
I tried calling the FBI but after getting bounced around from branch to branch, I gave up.

Just waiting patiently now.

The number to CJIS at the FBI isn't an easy number to find, but here's the number 304-625-5590.

HEY,

I need help guys, please. I sent my husband’s application back on March 31, 2015 and CIC Mississauga received it on April 7, 2015. I got approved AOR and SA and they sent the package on May 12, 2015 to be transferred to CPC Ottawa. Everything is complete in my husband’s package except for the additional medical request they had for my husband’s heart. He is scheduled to get the ECG tomorrow but a stress test is required to and they scheduled him in July 29. He received that letter back in March stating he needs to get it done within 3 months which is actually June 11, 2015. I emailed them and they have not responded yet. I sent a letter in the health office to but no response. What am I supposed to do now?!Sigh. Isn’t the medical the last part and they would request that essentially? Why did they have a time limit for my husband when this is supposed to be expiring in a year isn’t that correct?

From my experience, the medical exam is one of the first things they check over and approve because it does have an expiry date. You can also get in touch with your MP as I know a lot of people have. I wish I had more information or could be more help.
