It's funny you said that because my application said in process last week and I just logged on and it was back to application received. I really wish that they would just get rid of ECAS bc it's making me crazy. :)

Mine just did that to me too....grrrrrrr lol

Interestingly, your application was received Monday 07/30/2012 one day before ours (Tuesday 07/31/2012) and your sponsorship approved Friday 10/12/2012 also one day before ours (Monday 10/15/2012). Our PR application most likely will take longer as the applicant has lived in two different countries since the age of 18.

Our's might take a little longer because I'm the sponsor and I am Canadian but I went to school and lived in the US for 4 years. But everything else regarding our relationship is pretty straight forward so hopefully all goes well. Good luck with your application. I'll definitely be checking up on your timeline! :)

Hey guys
I just checked my ecas this morning after reading some more recent comments, and mine says 'application received' but not 'medicals received'. We got sponsorship approval back in the begining of Nov. and the medicals were completed in Aug. Should I be concerned about the medicals not showing up?

US criminal check is done before the application is sent to CIC. In our application, the applicant lived in a country where CIC requests those criminal checks directly, so that is done by CIC after the application is sent so that might delay it a couple of months.

Thanks, good luck to you as well! I am sure you guys will be fine and your application will be approved quickly!

We received AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) today!! Surprising since they say they are still working on November cases. *does a dance*

FINALLY some good stuff after the fiasco I've been through since May.

Oh yeah. Ok, I see what you're saying. But who knows. A Canadian friend of mine who I met at school in the US sponsored his american wife who he met at school. She's lived in 6 different countries in the last 9 years. They filed in the beginning of March and received PRR in November. They also originally sent it to Buffalo so the file was transferred twice. They had all sorts of complications with their case and still moved rather quickly. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. Think positive!

Good Luck!!!

Not really... ecas is not very reliable. So if medicals show up, it's good of course, but if it doesn't, it might mean that the results are not in the system but the medicals have still made it to your VO and been matched up with your file.... as long as you can log in to ecas, then you should be fine.
Good luck,
Sweden

Hi guys, we mailed our application off yesterday! Boy was it difficult to turn over into the hands of Canada Post. Hopefully it's in Mississauga right now waiting to be picked up by immigration. Is there a January 2013 spreadsheet? I'd like to be added and save a copy to my google docs.

Thank you for your reply, I have come to see how complex this is. This is what we have gathered so far- We own our home both in us and Canada so that leaves out lease. however, we have Ontario Hydro bills for 2 year, my husband moved back Jan 2011. We have Bell bills, Shaw direct bills, TD bank statements, all 2 yrs, and Propane bills for only a few months as we haven't been keeping them, plus they are lwo because he uses wood. He has a copy of his gym membership, TD Visa for 2 years with local purchases. We have a letter from our neighbor, my husbands son and sister. A copy of his T4, plus 1 year of pay stubs, a ROE because his job is seasonal. We have another home here in the states that is a rental, which shows up as rental income on his option C. So we are including two copies of leases for the house we have rented here to prove we we not renting the house in Ontario. Is there anything else that we might need to include. The threat of being denied because of this is very upsetting. his Canadian address was on the application. He does have his OHIP card and has used it, not sure how to document that. I just want to have as much info as I can in order to make this indisputable. Thanks

Hi,
I also got the same request to prove that I live in Canada. When i applied I was living abroad and I sent them a letter from my future employer that I will be working for them starting September 2012, so I guess they just want to make sure that I am actually here.
Whats interesting is first they asked for a scan of the passport and after I sent it they requested the proof that I am in Canada.
I just sent my lease agreement, letter from employer, bank statements and a couple of utility bills.
I'll keep you posted when I hear back from them.

Hey Guys!
I received a letter today from CPP-O asking to complete new Background form b/c the form I initially submitted was incomplete.
Does anyone know how long does it usually take to hear back from them after that? Maybe somebody had similar experience with Buffalo. Thank you in advance! :)

You mean with Ottawa not Buffalo right? And it took us a week, after we had to resend a form that hubby signed the wrong spot on.

Sorry, yeah, I mean Ottawa. I got emailed today, filled the new form out and ran to the post office to send it out. Unfortunately, officer didn't tell me in the email what exactly was wrong with the form. So I really hope that the problem is fixed now.
