Finished PR/Rehab interview in LA today...Case Manger stated she was going to issue the PR but because the third Medical was still not review, because CIC in Ottawa had requested it be mailed, delivered yesterday, that we should have it by the end of the month..and for those of you doing USA to Canada think for one second any crime that was from 25 years ago has no baring on your PR application you are wrong...No matter what you read on the CIC site it DOES matter...So now I will be a crazy lady reviewing status on line...

Thanks again, I guess I'm just too nervous for no reason. I'll be going up with my family at the end of the month, I'll be telling the officer I'm coming to get a doc wrapped up for my x months IP PR app, and I'll be visiting my fiance over the holidays while I'm there. Family is visiting with me, but will be leaving after a day or two.

I feel you, I always get incredibly nervous going through immigration for no reason. Even when I went through security to my home country from Mexico I accidently said something stupid and not true because I was tripped up on my words. It's normal!

We got that magic brown envelope from CIC this week so we'll be driving down to the Alberta/Montana border tomorrow morning. I wasn't sure if we had to make an appointment, so I called the border, and he said they only process immigration things until 11pm, shouldn't be a problem since we plan to be there at 8am when the immigration office opens. But can someone confirm that it's fine to just show up at the border? He wasn't the friendliest on the phone, not that I'm surprised, border people aren't supposed to be friendly. Also, anyone else cross at the Coutts/Sweet Grass border? Any good diners around for breakfast or lunch? Or even Lethbridge area?

The big one is:

Has their been any change in your family status since your application? Basically they are asking if your relationship with your sponsor changed (still together?) and if you had any kids.

Another one for sure is:

have you been charged with any felony since your application?

Sometimes they will ask you if you are feeling healthy (are you sick?)

If you are driving your own car with US plates, they'll ask you if you are importing and that you have X days to change your plates and get a Canadian DL.

The rest of the questions can vary on the situation and the officer.

Lol, it is hard not to check it, like peeking around the corner, Is it there yet?, enough to drive you crazy.
