Hey all! So I just checked the cic website and my application is in process! ;D.

Here's my timeline:

Sent in the application - February 10th
AOR - April 2nd
SA - April 10th
RPRF email - July 30th
In Process - September 21st (on cic website it says I went in process on April 15th)

Congrats!

So, on ecas it says you went IP on April 15th, but it was only updated today?

That seems to be the new normal - I think that early date is when the file gets transferred to the visa office and the update happens when they pull the file out to actually start working on it.

Thanks! And yea I was a little confused. It says "we have started processing your application on April 15th,2015" so I'm assuming that's when it went IP but I could be wrong

Oh ok. I was confused when I saw that on my ecas

Got the generic document request email requesting PCC, Medicals, Marital Status, Proof/Intent to reside etc today along with a few others in the Ottawa thread

We received information from the LA visa office that my husband's criminal rehabilitation application has been sent to the Washington office for faster processing. We also have the application numbers now to forward to the Ottawa office in regards to our spousal application. They can finally link both applications together...woot woot!!! I really needed good news:)

Have been thinking about this!!!..How did you get Washington to work your Rehab?...I understood that they stopped about two years ago or even more....everything is either New York or LA...we live an hour away from the Embassy in DC and our application for rehab, even though we already had an approved rehab/TRP was sent to New York and the PR application went to LA...LA requested the rehab application form New York...we have been into this immigration and rehab process since 2009 so I am curious...

I have no idea! Our application was about 7 months in and we requested our lawyers to do a status update. We also let them know our PR application in Ottawa had changed to "in process". A couple weeks later we received an email from Washington stated his criminal rehabilitation had been sent there for faster processing.

In one of my previous posts, I stated LA emailed us by accident. The email was from the Embassy of Canada in Washington, D.C. It also list a bunch of documents that need to be sent (already sent). It then states they will put it in a que for processing within 60 days. If we feel they have the necessary documents, we just email them and they will put it in the que right away.

FYI...just because you have an approved TRP and rehab and more then enough time has past means nothing...people on here say someone getting an interview for the USA is rare...well it aint that rare...our 10th wedding anniversary is 03NOV2015...We booked a dream vacation to St Croix....well CIC just sent us a letter...My Hubby has an interview in LA on 03NOV2015, they tell us its for the Rehab and the PR...seriously?..Lost $400 canceling the trip to St Croix which is really not too bad and $2K for hotel and airfare to LA...on top of the rehab fees...PR fees.....Wondering why we can't have the interview in New York?...We could drive to NYC and back in one day we are in Virginia...thinking they are making this as costly and difficult as possible...Also wondering who works for CIC on here?...odd there was mention of USA interviews and be rare and poof we get one.....which I don't mind either they can see how we are jumping through the hoops to get me home with my husband...

OMGEEE :o :o :o Someone in the April 2015 thread had the same Application Receipt as me and they have a decision made. My husband has not received anything yet apart from the In Process stage, What is happening?!:’(

I am from the beginning of April and have not even received an IP yet only a request for documents. Fingers crossed! Looks like the average time is still 8-10months.

Those document requests mean absolutely nothing, they are all generic batch letters that aren't specific to your particular file. If you order GCMS notes you will see this information, I have received the intent to reside in Canada and the RPRF request and still no officer has been assigned to look at the file. Take it with a grain of salt. I have been in process upwards of almost two months and received those document request 1 month ago. If it were specific letters to your file and with no red flags we(early 2015 applicants) would have received DM.

Did they already ask you to submit police certificates if you haven't done so and that the application is now in queue to be reviewed by the visa office?
I just see that you have applied at pretty much the same time as we did and wondering how your flow is going.

:)

Got that letter as well, but not optimistic that letter means anything, if you read the letter it is definitely a generic form letter sent out by Ottawa, does not necessarily mean the file is being worked on. IF the file was being worked on, no way it would take almost 2 months from IP to DM but once again that is my opinion.
