We received your application for permanent residence on June 14, 2013.

We started processing your application on February 21, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Please tell me it's good news...

Thank you!

Oh how I long to see that on my Ecas. This means COPR is on its way. Congratulations!

Congrats! Sounds like you are on your way to Canada soon!! :D

They didn't ask for the passport yet. Do you know how long will that take?

If they are going to request it at all it would probably be any day if you're already receiving notification that a decision has been made.

Hi Exile,

I see that your interview was waived. I would like to know whether the person you are sponsoring is a a green card holder or American Citizen.
The reason why I am asking this question is because my husband is a green card holder and I would like to know whether they can also waived an interview for a green card holder.

Thanks
Hi there,

Yes, my husband is an American Citizen.

Hi everyone! I just joined this forum. I am an American Citizen (live in NY) married to a Canadian man. We have recently applied for him to sponsor me as a spouse as an outland (i will continue living in NYS until PR is received and visiting on weekends as he is only 5 hrs from me by car ). We have sent in the whole application packet to Mississauga office on 2/19/2014 and they received it on 2/20/2014. I do have a few questions after reading ALL 181 pages on this thread for the last few hours ;D :

1. Is Mississauga fast or slow in approving his sponsorship application?
2. Once approved, do they send the paperwork to NYC Visa office or to Ottawa Office?
3. What is the estimate processing times from A to Z for this who shabang? (i'm dying to live with my hubby and start the family (waiting to try for baby until AFTER I get there}).

Thank you so much! :D

Once you submit your application, how do you check on the status? does CIC email you or are you able to check status on their website?

There really is no rhyme or reason to how they do things, is there? We are both US outland applications, but you get "decision made" without ever receiving a passport request, and I receive a passport request while eCas still shows "application received."

Maybe because I am through CPP-Ottawa and you are through LA?

1. Mississauga approval takes about a month
2. After approval everything goes to Ottawa
3. Processing times 8 to 10 months assuming you have no issues
Also depends on the person handling your file.

Good luck

Hi Tanya,

I'm in your boat too. I'm living in Connecticut and I want to be reunited with my Canadian husband living in Toronto. We submitted our app in early December and received sponsorship approval a little over a month later. We're now playing the waiting game and hoping that I'll be able to get there by late summer or early fall. If things go smoothly.

Yes, i am still waiting for the approval of sponsorship (only been a week) but this waiting game is going drive me insane! My husband also lives in Toronto and we just got a new house that only HE gets to live in due to this long process (i only get to play the role of a visiting wife...grrr).

Hi, Please I need help

My husband and I are going to post our application next week. However, We still have one problem...He did not take the 4 photos passport that are required. He told me that in USA the photographers are unable to take photo with the exact specific dimension that are required. Therefore, I would like to know if there are people in this forum who took their photo passport in USA....if yes, Where did you take them? Also, if you took them in Canada, where did you take them? I am thinking about Walmart but i am not sure.

Here are the dimensions: measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1″ and 1 1/5″) from chin to crown
have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size

PS: My husband lives in Warren, Michigan

My wife took the pics in the US, Wallgreens I believe. If you ask them they will cut to the dimension required by CIC.

Hope this helps.

They won't. It sounds like you are one of the lucky people that just get the COPR in the mail without a PPR (it seems to happen once in a while).
