I think we are in the same boat. Applied on the march 10th, I got an update but checked nothing. Applied online. You need to contact the office you applied. Did u apply from within canada or from outside canada?

This is common. Somehow their system is screwed up, but the mails indicate soemthing changed in the system, although not every change is public. E.g. if your visa is queued up for processing you will recieve an email, but nothing will be visible for you.

You should wait, VISAs can be as quick as 1 week and as slow as 2 months. Mine took 32 days =/

thank you .
is there any mean that i can contact them to see what is my status because i have interview there for fellowship on april16 and i have nothing from them till now ?

My husband applied last week of february. got couple of emails to check his account in March and till now no update. It's been more than 40 days.
I applied at the same time. Got couple of emails to check the account and nothing. Last week I got the request for passport.
I sent emails. They never replied. I gave up on sending emails. I called both consulates in LA and NY. I got no where. There is no way to contact the consulates.
My advice is to check your account regularly and be patient.
It was an emergeny visa for us. It's been more than 40 days and counting....
Please come back and let us know once you get an update
Good Luck

I would suggest you leave them alone and let them work. Less work from impatient people = better serving times.

So relax, there is NOTHING you can do.

When you applied online, did you get a confirmation of submission? If you did not get this, something might have gone wrong.

We applied online and it was a breeze. Started Mar 25th. - created a checklist. Assembled the documents and paid online on March 28. Got the confirmation the same night via email. Checked my CIC and the formal confirmation was there in the mailbox. The neat thing about applying online is that every time someone opens your file, an email is sent to you. You feel that something is happening.

Anyway, we got the request for medical on the 30th. Got medically on the 1st of April. Got another email that my application was updated as soon as I arrived home.

We are just waiting.

i had confermation for submission at the same day .
i will wait and see and i will update you guys .

You said you applied online on Feb 28 and you just got the letter to go for biometrics?
I got the letter to go for biometrics just few days after I applied.
My husband went for biometrics end of February and till now no update on his account. 38 days today after biometrics and no request for passport.
Patience!

i have submitted my TPV for my parents on March 06, 2014, got 2 updated emails and nothing since. Do not worry, just wait.
At the same time, a friend applied on March 14, got his visa granted in the beginning of April.
And one friend's husband got his visa in 1 week, but that was in January.

I know the sample size is not large enough to draw the conclusion that the online application sucks but if someone is in a hurry, visa centre is a much better choice.
