Hi all.

I hold a non-Canadian and non-US passport. Can I travel from Canada to US (and back) in January 2015 if my passport's expiry is in August 2015?

Thanks.

Some countries have a requirement that a passport be valid at least 6 months from when you enter the country. Not sure if US has this rule, but even if they do if you go in January that is 8 months from expiry so you should be fine.

Are you from a visa except country?

If so it should be OK because it still has 8 months left to expire when you travel. I don't know what country your passport is from but you could always do an expedited renewal. If you have travel plans you can show proof and request an expedite. At least in the USA you can.

But honestly it is only September why just not get a new one?
