I landed at Vancouver peace arch borader
Sent a couple enquires telling them I will have a schedule flight shortly. The only useful thing they got back to me was that they didn't have my address in the system, even I've provided to them. Anyways I updated my address again. Don't know if this helped speed up my process but it got approved faster than I thought.
So keep bothering them if you really have problems with processing time. Maybe they will put a mark for your case.
I can now hope to get the card before I leave, which will be wonderful that I won't have to apply for PRTD at my country.
Mine is approved today (landed on Dec 11).

Well, I had to visit my country on vacation after landing. I was able to get PRTD in 4 days and could return with that from India. I got multiple entry PRTD with 2 years validity.

Landed on October 12th.
No news yet.
Just called cic (waited more than 40 mins) and found out that me and my family have to resend photos :(
I asked the officer if we will have to wait for 2 more months after sending the new photos, and she told that we may wait even more, because picture renewal que is so long in nowadays...
I complained that we paid utmost attention while taking the photos and never expected a failure.
She answered back that their machine is so picky! :(

Now, I have to find a good photographer, get proper photos, re-send them to Canada and wait for 2 more months...
Just received e-mails from CIC and checked my account. The system says "Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details."
Even though there is no message below, I believe we will receive the PR Cards soon.

Landed: October 12
PR Card photos requested: Nov 30
New photos sent: Dec 12
PR Cards approved: Jan 31
PR card received: Not yet. We will see.

Hi Guys,

I landed in Toronto on 17th Jan and since i didnt have permanent residence address the immigration officer at the airport told me to update the address online when i have it after 15 days. And accordingly my PR card would be couriered in that address.
Now i have been visiting the online CIC site since 2-3 days and after providing the required details like UCI etc. its showing the message that my application is not found. How is that possible?
Pls guide me, i have searched everything online and completely confused now. Thanks in advance.

Its better to call CIC and update your address. I was staying at different address at the time of landing, post landing I have moved to new address. I called CIC and updated the address.

I landed in Vancouver through POE on Jan. 23, 2018. But after multiple attempts, I was still not able to link PRC application to my GC account. Do some people also have that problem? I think I have made all answers accurately input, but still no tracking result. Someone help?

I am unable to link my application so I am wondering: will I STILL get an email from CIC if they require a new photograph for my PR card?

If you need to resend the photos, they will send the Request Letter to your email on file.
But this process is really slow, for me, they put note for new photo request on Nov 14, 2017, but they send me the request on Dec 7,2017.
Almost take 3 weeks to receive the request from CIC.

I suggest you to call CIC to check the photo around 50 days after landing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply sir!

So - even though I do NOT have my PR Card application connected to my CIC account, they will still email me if there is an issue with the photos?

Apologies if I am repeating myself but I just want to be sure.

Yes, they will send you the notification or request letter for photo to your email on file.

You do not have to link the PR card application to your CIC account, but you should link it if you can.
Link the application only can be a used as a reference when your application get approved, and it will show you the card # and expired date for your record.
Usually, PR card has 5 years validation from the card been printed.

Yes, one photo is good enough for initial PR card application.
And they also need one photo only all the time, usually the photo with your name and DOB is attached on the COPR, the one extra is just for their back up.
