I used my influence to pray and think positive, plus a wasn't missing a single form in the whole application. Lots of people are asked for missing docs or extra info throughout the process. What is treated fairly? A straight forward case, husband, wife together 10 years two kids. Or a guy met his wife on the Internet saw her once got married. One is easier to be real.j

LOL. Have you ever thought to use that power of prayer to solve hunger, disease and poverty? Or does it only work when the motives are selfish? I guess that would explain why you don't understand what "treated fairly" means.

My application like so many others are also straightforward but no kids. Even easier than yours without the need to go through medicals etc of dependents. So why 4 months for you while other s are delayed months beyond the processing time.

Everyone fills out the same application and provides the same documents respective of their home countries. CIC loses some of them or drag out the process so time sensitive ones expire. If CIC is suspect about any application all the more reason to fast track it to an interview and decide at that stage.

Well you wrote you had to resend pics and e-mail for missing docs. I don't know what that means but seems like you messed up on something. fast track an interview, most non family sponsored people get an interview, so 5000 interviews and 1 or 2 guys to do them all, how do you fast track that.

So grammar queen, people who say they are going to sue this and that is not cool in my opinion.

Really? I do not recall saying I was suing anyone. That doesn't mean I wouldn't support certain actions I may feel are justified. And what you said wasn't just a minor slip of grammar.

So you "don't know what that means" but you will argue about it anyway? LOL For your info, they LOST parts of his application and had to ask for him to provide them again. This was part of a major mess-up at the Ottawa office. I think you should really try to determine what something means before you argue about it.

Some people get accepted faster than others. 4 months is pretty fast yes, but it does happen. Attacking someone and accusing them because they were accepted faster than others isn't very nice...

Sponsorship docs and my wife's passport pics lost when CIC transferred my file from Mississauga to Ottawa. Their mistake added 2.5 months to stage one. Seems to me you assume CIC infallable.

Spousal sponsorship are the highest priority and should be completed within 6 months. That is their policy. Yet the government closes VO's and reroutes those applications through one central VO but do not increase staffing levels to accommodate it. Family class application processing times have increased by 50%. FSW and nominee applications have decreased by 40%. Your application sneaks through in 4 months. Pretty suspicious to me.

Canadian immigration costs are also 1/3 the cost of many other first world countries. Family class processing times have continued to go don in Hong Kong in the past three years.

What's suspicious about it? What could he possibly have done to get his app through quicker? And if you know the answer why didn't you do it yourself? :P

Have you called them yet? They may have approved you... I never got an email so it is worth calling to find out if you haven't already.

Here is a copy of the email I just sent to my MP:

Mr Toet.

While I do appreciate your letter of July 31st I would like to further update you on my situation with CIC.

Contrary to your time limit of 91 days and the posted time line of 86 days my application has now been 96 days and still I have not received any reply from CIC. I have called them twice over the last 2 weeks and have received varying answers to the same questions. Most importantly was the question of processing the application based on receipt. While being assured that applications are reveiwed as they are received the facts would speak to this as a lie.
I belong to an online immigration forum where people in the process exchange their experience and details as to when they sent in their applications and in what times they were processed. Here you can see where June applications have received their first stage receipt and or sponsorship approvals by the end of July. One applicant's paperwork was received by the end of May and had been approved the next week while some like myself have waited patiently only to be treated with contempt.

There is obviously a bias within CIC as to how and who they process and in what order. I will request of you to personally get involved in my case and have my application expedited. I would also make the request to find out why this type of corrupt process exists under a Conservative government. I thought you were the guys who were supposed to fix these things?

Respectfully,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

And you MP is thinking, ya I want to help this guy out.
