My wife have PNP Certificate Received On 04/03/2017 Expiry 31/08/2017 (No Restrictions on PNP)

After that she applied for PR 27/04/2017 and received AOR on 29/08/2017

now her Open Work Permit is going to expire as on 30/03/2018

So she is planning to apply for her Bridging Open Work Permit - BOWP in December 2017 beginning.

So Kindly advise us what are the required documents to apply for BOWP?

It will be a small subset of what you have already submitted for PR. Plus attach copy of current open work permit and AOR with LOE. If you do a come to Canada wizard you will get a reference number that will allow you to start an application via online account. Compared to PR it is pretty straightfoward. As you want an open work permit do not fill in the section about proposed employer.

AOR = Feb 22, 2017
BOWP Applied = March 10, 2017
BOWP Approved = April 27, 2017

Hey there, I have a current Common Law PR application ongoing.
Currently on a NAFTA work permit/visa which is due to expire in 1 month and my application is not yet processed.
Was planning on heading down to the border to apply for a renewal, but just read on here that I can apply for an Open Work Permit or bridging permit at the border.

Anyone with experience of this and know the process and how long it could take. Nafta is issued on the spot, but I would prefer an open work permit.

My application is currently AOR2 with background check not yet started and is an outland app currently being processed in Missaussaga.

There is a section in the BOWP for a letter of explanation (LOE) you can upload a copy of your PR application AOR in that section.
As you are applying for an open work permit I do not think you need to submit a job offer letter.

Hi everyone, Im currently trying to complete my BOWP, my current work permit runs out pretty soon so I need to get this done ASAP. I have complete everything so far but am having trouble uploading the IMM5710. Whenever I try upload the document, I get the following msg:

• Error Description:
  Your status expiry date in the answer you provided previously does not correspond to the Restoration in your form. Modify your answers or the value in your form.

I have made sure that both dates on my questionnaire is the same as the date in the IMM5710 but continue to get this msg. Has anyone got this before or know any solution to work around it?

Appreciate any comments back.

I am going to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit. But just realized that my PNP nomination already expired. (I already got AOR though). Do I need to contact PNP to give me a new nomination first?

Hello everyone,
My wife's work permit extension / BOWP approved as on 06-02-2018 and her old VISA and post graduation work permit was expired as on 30-03-2018.

She is planning to apply for her new VISA in this week or next week, she is waiting to get employment letter from her employer.

Is there any problem now as per immigration law and rules like she is staying there after visa expired. Her BOWP work permit is valid up to 05-02-2019.
