Tips for a successful BOWP application

I am applying for BOWP (currently on WP, AOR for CEC received in Jan 2014) as my visa expiring the end of Sept 2014. I am not taking extension from my current employer.

Could anyone let me know the answer for Q.No: 3 of application form IMM 5710. Its urgent as I have to apply tonight...please ......anyone respond.

What should I say if I have to apply for bridging open work permit---

(1) A work permit with the same employer
(2) An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
(3) Restoration of your status as a worker
(4) Temporary Resident Permit

So My work permit is expiring in a Month and i haven't heard back from cic regarding my file .I was wondering that what is the deadline to apply for BOWP.

I am planning to go for paper application as it will buy me some time.

Basically i wanted to know that whether we should dispatch our application before our work permit expires :-X or our application should reach them before our status expires? :-\

I received my AOR and medical request yesterday .Should i get my medical done first and after that apply for BOWP ? I am asking this question because when i generated my personal checklist ,the proof of medical exam was asked as supporting documents. My work permit is expiring on July 7th, 2014.

You can apply with AOR alone. No need for medical.

In he online questionnaire you might have answered something incorrectly and that's why you got the medical question.

I understand that employer information should not be included on the IMM5710 form since it's an open work permit, but I saw some sample explanation letters in the first few pages of this thread (dated Aug 2013, before the revised bulletin) mentioning a job offer letter is attached when AOR has yet to be received.

Due to time constraint, I would like to submit a paper application before receiving AOR, I am not sure if I should mention I have a job offer already and whether I should check the box "job offer letter or contract from employer" on the IMM5556 checklist.

No need for explanation letter or AOR being attached or job offer. Only what the checklist asks for.

If your AOR is not available by the time they review the application having job offer attached wouldn't help the case.

Hello Forum I need help with the online application for the BOWP, this goes out to the guys with kids who have applied successfuly.

Do I have to add my two children as additional family members during the online application process?

If I do this, I have to put in that their current status is visitor and I have to extend it.
In the fees summery I end up with 200$ for the visitor extension for both kids. I thought the kids do not need an extra extension since they are listed under my temporary work permit, but I don't know how to include them in the online application in a different way. (or should I just upload the kids passports?) In a paper application, I just would include the forms for my wife and me and copy the passports of the kids.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
