& what u describe seems like something government would do? I personally dont think those people are going to go to a Canada post outlet and pick up our mail that we the sender sent to the wrong address residential yes business no, but then again they should have people in their mail room who does this
Don't know how they do it. But I sent it to the PO Box and I got the delivery confirmed with signature.
And that's the address that is in the Guide for mailing the application, so it can't be wrong.

Thanks everybody, just curious if I sent to correct address since I have not heard anything yet.

you wont get an AOR just a delivery confirmation if u track ur pckg via Canada post the only notification CPC-M issue are the will return pckg for more info/ updated info ie updated meds or pcc if u waited too long to send it in or acceptance or refusal of sponsorship eligibility

I am not sure what's happening there, people are usually back from their vacation this time of the year. So did they reduced the staff or Canada post strike earlier this year caused this big backlog? This is unbelievable :o.

This makes for an interesting read
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/audit/mississauga.asp I think they need to do a new one though lol. I particularly like the bit where it says "All staff interviewed were aware of the processing targets."

Thats a joke surely? lol

I called today and I received very worrisome response from the person I spoke with. Basically I told her that my application was received on July14th and she told me that she can't see it anywhere (I assume she meant the internal computer system). She then put me on hold and when she returned, asked me for the tracking number, my wife name and the receipt number. Than she told me that she will send a request for investigation. She also told me that she will not have any further information for 30 days after she sends it.

I don't know what to make out of it. Do the phone staff actually have any information whether the application was physically received? Because she definitely sounded like she should have information but she does not. Did they lost my application or somebody's dog eat it???

Dose anyone know how the internal procedures are?

@mercur

That is weird !!!!!
How come are they not able to find the application with receipt number?? may be just wait for a couple of days and call them again.. your application reached on July 14 and as per the update today they are processing July 15. So I would rather wait for a couple of days to appear your file on the system..

the representative did her job as they are asked to do so if they do not find application beyond the date of current processing time..

as a matter of fact even though the web site says July 15, all of us know that they are never accurate...mane people whose application were received before that date might not have heard yet..it just due to the fact that each application is different and processing time can vary based on evidences provided..

so just wait for few days and then give them a call...

So basically, they made $50,000,000 and they spent $5,000,000. This is a pretty good business I guess. You would think that corporation that makes 1,000% profit would have at least better customer service....

66 days.... i was expecting that. they have moved only by 4 days this week. its not normal whether its summer vacation or whatever. i think its part of their new policy (discouraging spouse sponsorship) or something else. of course inefficiency might be one of the reasons. anyways i m feeling lucky that i didnt apply in august or September.
