Thread for July 2011 applicants

I called today and I received very worrisome response from the person I spoke with. Basically I told her that my application was received on July14th and she told me that she can't see it anywhere (I assume she meant the internal computer system). She then put me on hold and when she returned, asked me for the tracking number, my wife name and the receipt number. Than she told me that she will send a request for investigation. She also told me that she will not have any further information for 30 days after she sends it.

I don't know what to make out of it. Do the phone staff actually have any information whether the application was physically received? Because she definitely sounded like she should have information but she does not. Did they lost my application or somebody's dog eat it???

Dose anyone know how the internal procedures are?

hang on there, we all know that most of the time these call center people make us tensed. so probably on Friday she will find your application within her reach. good luck.

66 days.... i was expecting that. they have moved only by 4 days this week. its not normal whether its summer vacation or whatever. i think its part of their new policy (discouraging spouse sponsorship) or something else. of course inefficiency might be one of the reasons. anyways i m feeling lucky that i didnt apply in august or September.

You should ring them its been over the 66 days for you, I would be on the phone like a shot, which I will be doing if come Monday i have no news

Yeah me too waiting for positive news but think as they are moving 3 - 4 days per week we are going to hear by the end of the next week ???

I agree with you, feeling lucky I applied in July and not later. But unlucky that I didn't apply in May when I could have. I procrastinated for about 3 months!

I've been next on that list for like 3 days and still nothing... they just keep bringing out the date!
