eCAS status was finally updated today to "In Process" in London starting July 20. Will the AOR be coming to me in Canada or to my BF in England? If it's going to BF then the mail sure is taking its sweet @ $$ time since it's been a week now and still nothing.

Now I just have to hope for a quick processing time in London, and that they won't need a Canadian police check from us, since my BF spent a year in Canada working and living with me before we began this whole process.
Congrats on your "In Process" Status..I know a few other people that are going through London office they have told me that London doesn't send AOR..the next thing you will get is either a letter stating they need more documents or Request for Passport! Or in my case a request for the rest of my fees (RPRF)..London is processing pretty fast, I know 2 people that has had their passport requested after 3 weeks of being in process! :) So there is hope..Just hang on in there..its really frustrating but hopefully we will be near the end before long!

Hello,
I got complete package return from CPC Mississauga dated July 16, 2010 with following reasoning
• To complete IMM1344A # 6 b and c of the ‘application to sponsor and undertaking'.
• As we completely forgot to check box earlier.

My wife she is in USA for about 7month. She is a graduate student in USA.
Now I will have to check box # 6 b and c and 7 of the application to sponsor and undertaking. In that case me wife PR application will be forwarded to New Delhi, India for further processing of her PR not a Buffalo, NY office.

“Effective May 1, 2003 Applications for PR must be processed by the visa office responsible for the applicant's country of nationality, OR the country where the applicant has been lawfully admitted for at least one year, OR in the case of applicant who is stateless, the country of habitual residence”

6 a) Address where the person you are sponsoring lives: My wife address of USA.
b) If you are sponsoring a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class, don
not complete b) and c); proceed to 7 immediately,

We are checking [NO] now>the application will be processed at the visa office responsible for the country of which the person you are sponsoring is a national. Proceed to 7.

c) Do you wish to have the application for permanent residence of the person you are sponsoring processed at the visa office responsible for this country?

We are checking [No] now > the application will be processed at the visa office responsible for the country of which the person you are sponsoring is a national.

7. Mailing address, if different from address in 6. a).
Not Applicable.

On response letter from CPC Mississauga, it also mention “If option b and c applies to your relative, you relative should be prepared to provide proof of their legal residence to the visa office otherwise processing delay may occur”

I am providing my wife legal English translated copy of back home Citizenship card; hope this take cares of above coded section. Folks any suggestion for alternative document to back this section like copy of birth certificate or copy passport.

QUESTION>>> Are we missing anything on above 6 a, b, c and 7?

QUESTION >>>Does anyone in thread knows, CPC Mississauga take 30-42 days again to get sponsorship approval response? or it can be quick.

Note that CPC Mississauga has attached Client #, PA ID no., Receipts no. (Application to sponsor and undertaking)

• my wife did medical on June 18, 2010. By now medical result must have reached to Buffalo, NY office (we selected Buffalo, NY processing center).

QUESTION>>>Can we ask Buffalo, NY office to transfer medical result to New Delhi, India now and what should we write to Buffalo, NY office?

Any response on above is greatly appreciated.

Good luck to all and keep updating this thread.

Thanks!
Sorry to have your package back..New Delhi has a faster processing time and from what I have seen they are going pretty fast! Dont worry about your wifes medical results..They all go to Ottawa until the Visa Office processing the applicants application requests them! They will know you opted for Buffalo to start with! Just put a note in saying that you selected buffalo to start with and put it on her medical, thats why The Green Medical form is such a big deal...its what the Visa office uses to find the results!

As for proving your wifes legal residence..Citizenship card is a good idea, I am thinking you need to provide proof your wife lives in the USA..Bank statement? Study Visa issued in USA? I am not 100% Sure but I think you may have to join the back of the Que again, I know somebody else that had his returned and he had to wait another 4 weeks! :(

Climbs back on to chair - we're on Ecas with "decision made" too! HUGE sigh of relief, whatever the outcome, at least it was fast. It says they posted a letter on the 26th, so now it's just a case of joining the June waiting-for-the-postie group

Does happy dance and chugs espresso... woot!

Oh and my application was received on the 23rd not the 24. my mistake. So we are in the same boat girl for the entire process. It would be interesting for us to keep each other updated because of the same application time. HOw long does syndey usual take to process? i read the trinidadian time line and it can be from 3 months to more than a year..most of them taking the long time plus the visa office has indicated on their website that they are currently updating their database so processing times are even slower!

Thanks, it's nice to know we are hopefully in the last phase of the waiting process. 3 weeks for a PPR sounds really fast! I've read in some other threads that some offices will just go ahead and request the Passport but will still take a long time (a month or more) to actually issue the visa. I wonder if this is the case with London. Does it make any difference if you go drop it off/pick it up in person?

With you all the way! Will be keeping my fingers crossed that you are one of the 3-monthers. Sydney is 3-9 months. My part of the app is pretty straightforward - afaik no medical issues, clean police reports etc, so hoping for a fast one here too. Maybe, just maybe, we will get very early christmas presents?

Hy everyone!

I thought id join the list for June as I sent out my package that month.

I Just checked Ecas and it said the following..

We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on June 22, 2010.
We sent you a letter on July 22, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

If it was approved would it also say something along the lines of "we have sent your file to XX office to continue the process" or is that the standard way it says it for everyone..now I am worried..plus...I live in Winnipeg so woudnt a letter sent on June 22 be here already..its already 28!

Good luck to everyone filing in June!

Its the standard language, don't worry. As for the mail I would give it a few more days, its always super slow.

I just checked CanadaPost:

"Standard Lettermail service delivers letters & documents within 2 days locally; 3 days province-wide and within 4 days anywhere in Canada (except remote locations)."

I wonder what CIC uses...... are there lots of pigeons in Mississauga? ;)
