Thanks, when was your file moved to Accra?

*Mandie*

Mississauga advised that they transferred it to Accra when they sent me the AOR. Is there a way to find out the exact date without asking for case notes?

Does anyone know if the yellow fever vaccination is a requirement for my husband coming over? I know when I was going it was mandatory.

The immigration people at the airport will disturb him if he doesn't have the yellow fever card when he is leaving. They do immunize people at the Accra airport for a fee, if you require it. According to WHO the yellow fever immunization is now for life. I am not allowed to post links but the information can be found on WHO's website.

"17 MAY 2013 | GENEVA - The yellow fever ‘booster’ vaccination given ten years after the initial vaccination is not necessary, according to WHO. An article published in WHO’s Weekly Epidemiological Record (WER) reveals that the Organization’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on immunization (SAGE) has reviewed the latest evidence and concluded that a single dose of vaccination is sufficient to confer life-long immunity against yellow fever disease.

Since yellow fever vaccination began in the 1930s, only 12 known cases of yellow fever post-vaccination have been identified, after 600 million doses have been dispensed. Evidence showed that among this small number of “vaccine failures”, all cases developed the disease within five years of vaccination. This demonstrates that immunity does not decrease with time."

The that was SA (Sponsorship Approval). Are you the sponsor.

You can check application status by logging in to ecas using the UCI and contact details on the correspondence from CIC.

I have never seen/heard about anyone being disturbed at the airport cos of this. Unless it is is specific to some countries, there is no requirement for this for coming to Canada.

I have seen them do it to people at Accra airport and was harassed myself last year when I was exiting Ghana. They will not let me go through immigration procedures without showing the Yellow Fever immunization card. They are supposed to ask for it upon entry but not exit. They sent me downstairs to get immunized. I explained to the nurse I left my card at home but if they really wanted me to be immunized I will take the injection again. She believed me and told them to let me through.

I think the yellow fever immunization requirement depends on the country and the mood of the immigration and health officials at the airport you are flying from. I have flown from Accra airport many times and only been asked for it twice.

Oh I see. I was in Ghana in December and never encountered anything like that.

Hi everyone. Please what is the best way to get skype video call logs? I use my phone to skype with my husband but i can't seem to figure out how to get the call logs so i can add it to our application. Any ideas please?

I will suggest you email skype customer service for that information unless you have a business account. If all else fails you may have to take screen shots and print those off.

I am not using any representative, should i fill the use of representative form or leave it blank?

But make sure you specify N/A in the checklist where it talks about use of representative
