No, the mail was delivered to my husband's office in Victoria Island Lagos.

I cannot believe how much DHL service is costing from Nigeria. 14000 naria to send out and 19500 to be paid for return a combine total of 35k naria.

Obannobi - I don't know how much that is in dollars but it sounds expensive!! Happy we are sending from Ghana. My husband's passport will be ready on Monday, thank god. We are looking forward to book flights soon.

Is the IMM0008 just the Generic Application Form? My husband just moved back to Accra from England so we will have to make some changes on that form, hopefully that is ok!

Obruc. is about 215$, so I guess is expensive. My wife sent it on Thursday, I am not sure about the form because from my understanding,notification are to be made if there was any changes.It goes this way YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING.
You are asked to submit your passport(s) and documentation BY COURIER within 15 days. We recommend DHL courier, using a pre-paid return envelope. Oh well, we submitted passport only because the email about family update looks generic to me. Most of the requirements are for accompany people.

Its ok to still say in process....mine only said decision made after they processed the visa. Good luck.

Mine is in process, no additional comment which is ok. Are they going to contact you when the visa is ready? How long mandated before pick up?

Hello Everyone,

First of all thank you for the wonderful information on this forum.

Here is my story..I've been a Canadian Citizen since 1995 when I was 15 years old. I recently married a Ghanian lady, a wonderful lady. I sent in my sponsorship application to CPC Mississauga on September 8 2014. I haven't heard anything from them.

My question is, do they confirm that they received it? I know the package reached them but I never got anything from them so therefore we don't know our client number. So did they open the application?

Question 2, when it say it takes 43 days to process the sponsorship before sending the application to Accra, does it mean 43 days after it was opened? Currently it says they are working on applications received on September 2 2014 (this was on Oct 15).

Just another note, I have been approved as a sponsor before for another relative.

Hello Macus - they sent the passport request to both of us.

Welcome to the forum MoH1979, they we send you the first email around the 43 days mark saying they received and started working on your application. Then, either the same day or shortly after (depending on whether they need to look into anything) you will received notification via email that you were approved.
The only way right now of knowing it is at the embassy is by courier tracking. Kind of annoying - isn't it!

We are waiting for my husband new passport still, he has paid a lot of money to have it done in 3 days and that was today. Surprise, surprise it wasn't ready. Praying for tomorrow

Hi Obannobi. I'm so happy for you and all those who heard from accra that their visa appears ready and passport requested. I have not heard from accra as of now but I hope soonest. I guess if there was something else they needed or they were not satisfied with, they should have asked me by now, although the deadline date of 30days just elapsed last friday 24th. Thanks Iwo for your response to my question. I taught they also send the approval email to the sponsor as well. Obannobi, Greetings to you.
