Your file must be in Ghana by the time you recieved your approval letter. From my GMC note, my file was transferred the day they sent out the email. I think you need to relax and keep calm you are closer than 4 months ago.

Hi NKT0817,

Accra will send an email (only to the principal applicant's email) when they have started processing your application in Accra. For us this took just over 2 months time after being approved as the sponsor. The email you get will either ask for more documents (this was our case), invite you for an interview or tell you your visa is ready.

They don't update your status online when Accra has received your file, you can just assume it was sent right away after you were approved as a sponsor.

I have a question for everyone though - does Accra acknowledge when they have received additional documents? We just sent in some police checks and hoping they will notify us soon that they have been received

Obrunicoco, my recent experience and follow up email in that regards was negative. I mailed my documents, emailed them for confirmation without reply.

Hi Obrunicoco. Thank you very much for the responce, we sent all meds, police check and documents with the application so I hope they don't need anything else maybe just more proof of ongoing realtionship. Fingers crossed it doesn't take to long! Good luck to everyone who is still going through the process and congrats to all who are finished!

Hi obannobi, how long ago did you send your additional documents to the embassy? You'll have to keep us posted if they email you and I will do the same.

According to tracking ours were received on Oct 9th

Mine was recieved on the 2nd according to tracking. Did you sent yours with DHL or registered post? Mine they sent notification for immigration to pick up. They eventually picked up on the 2nd. I am looking forward to hear from them soon, according to my GMC , they must review by November 4th. I am not worried anymore, I am looking forward in a positive way.

We sent ours with a friend travelling to Ghana then he posted them EMS same day delivery. I will receive my GCMS notes at the end of the month and I will hopefully see some more information then about when they will review our file

Obruc. Our timeline is almost same. I applied on the 28 of April, approval was on the 26 of June, document request was on the 4 of september
