:(My mail to AVO on the system issue:

Just logged into our online account and it says "we need additional document to continue the processing your application, check message below". The issue is there is no mail to this effect on the online account, we have checked our mails also (including bulk mail) still nothing. We have no idea what the required document is. Kindly reply with details of the required document.

Their response:

Hello,

Please note that your account is giving you an incorrect status and that no additional information is required at this time.

Regards,

mv

Nothing like sorry for the error what so ever, as if they are dealing with desperate helpless individuals. I don't know if they think they are doing us a favour. So sad :(

Exactly what it seems they think about us. All these will end someday and soonest

my PA's GCKey updated as passed on medical today.
we are indeed very lucky
You are very lucky, that's nice they've done that. Mine was done over a year ago and it still doesn't say anything. No third line. I guess it doesn't matter now, we'll need a new one.

Hi cookie1234, I don't think that being refused a TRV means an immediate interview. People are refused TRVs all the time. My hubby also applied for two and was reused and our lawyer said not to worry about it, it's so common that it's not an issue. I've had friends who were denied a TRV and never had an interview for their spousal app and received their PPR no problem.

Ohh this is great news!! I wish we have the same luck :) Thank you so much for the info

Hi all. I have applied to sponsor my husband and dependent children (his kids) from Nigeria. Application was received in Canada in early April. We just got notified that the application has been forwarded to the Accra VO. Just wondering what the timeline seems to be in the office sending out requests for medicals? We want to make an appointment for their medicals as there is a wait list at the doctor's offices in Lagos, but are unsure how far out to book.

Hello everyone!

Newbie here. It's nice to see that there's actually a forum addressing a lot of common issues.

My husband is a Canadian PR and we recently submitted our spousal application in April 2017 after I was denied a visit visa in March - because the immigration officer felt I had strong ties in Canada and would not come back. He was right - our initial plan was to for me go in and begin the inland spousal process.

CIC got back to me on May 24th that my husband has been approved as a sponsor and asked me to link my application to my online account - which I did.
However, I got another email from them asking me to send additional documents (SCHEDULE A & Police report) but when I check my online account, there's no message beneath so I can't attach both files.

I'm aware the CIC website was down for a while but it seems to be back up and this issue still persists. Any advice on whether I should wait it out or just have it mailed to them/upload on the IRCC Webform?

A response will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a prompt on the cic website saying you can send them through the web form. I'll advise you can also try using the AVO email address or sending by courier if you want to be extra sure they receive it.

I am an April applicant also, I would strongly suggest that you upload it on the webform, send a scanned copy to your husband, and he can send it through regular mail to CIC.
I did both options, and they got back to us that there was an error, the upload link became active, and within a week file got transferred to Accra.

Where do you see it ? Because for what I can see, every country the outside process is still 12 months...

Good afternoon my dears!!

Since I have dual citizenship (from both parents), I was wondering if

they would send my file to the V.O of Pretoria (responsible for my country of birth), or the AVO (responsible for where I live right now as I am also a citizen)...

If you applied before December 2016, then it is 16-17 months. If you applied after its 12 months. Most of us applied before December 2016.
